NOT GOING BACK. We arrived at 5:30. We did not get our entrees until 7:00 despite the fact that we ordered when we arrived because we had a baby and didnt want to stretch things out. We were a party of six. The meals did not all arrive at the same time so the party who got the first of the meals delivered to the table had to wait 15 minutes for the other meals to arrive. The food was good not great. The short rib orecchiette sauce was very rich unlike most that I have had. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The one person who got the branzino said it was good. The waiter was attentive at first but when the kitchen failed to perform in a timely way he was more distant To add insult to injury they added a "mandatory" 20% tip despite the fact that there was no notification that it would be applied anywhere on the menu.

The Katherine has been my absolute favorite spot since I discovered it about 8 months ago. The Thai-curry branzino, the ceviche, the tomato salad with hot peppers , the arancinis with porchetta, and the cabbage are simply flawless dishes. Each bite delivers clear, fresh, and vibrant flavors that are perfectly executed. The service is outstanding, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. There’s not a single miss on their menu. Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale so far! Highly recommend!

The Katherine is hands down one of the top dining spots in Fort Lauderdale! The food is absolutely outstanding, and the staff consistently delivers friendly and attentive service. Special shoutout to Chad, who often takes care of me—he’s fantastic and truly goes above and beyond. This place is an easy 5 stars!

It was our first find dining at the Katherine. Besides our daughter’s name being Katherine, this restaurant was just special and extraordinary. The overall vibe was warm and inviting, the staff was super friendly and shared the menu concept. The food was exceptional.. with a balance of salt, acid, fat, and cross cultural inspiration! The signature dishes such as the crispy rice and everyone must get the cabbage. Every bite was a party in your mouth. We’re visiting from NJ and will definitely come again

Great small plates. Reasonable prices. Wine beer and sake cocktails only. Recommend clam chowder fries( a take on poutine), shrimp ceviche and short rib and ricotta orechhettie.

Slow Your Roll

Was highly recommended to me. Got there and ordered an Old Fashioned. Nope. Only saki based drinks. Huh?

Ok. Ordered the oxtail. The broth was really good, but for $38 I only received two very fatty oxtails. I will not be going back

The service here was non existent and the staff is poorly trained. It took a long time to get even drinks. Workers dusting off wine bottles while patrons sit with empty glasses. The manager and her kid were sitting at the bar. Our bartender Naz was talking to the servers the whole time, never serving drinks and acted like he was doing us a favor when he finally did.

Today was my first time dining at this amazing restaurant. Tim the owner was amazing and extremely friendly. Chad our waiter was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I’m gluten free and they had so many incredible options on the menu for me to enjoy. Everything we ate from our appetizers to our dessert was unbelievable! Shrimp ceviche, Brussels sprouts, chicken thighs, bone marrow. We will definitely be back!

Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free. So many choices.
