I have been to Saturday night mermaid burlesque twice- once in summer of 2023 and then again in March of 2024. The mermaids themselves are excellent- athletic and charismatic. However, the show has significantly increased in price. In 2023, the tickets were cheaper and included a portion of the price toward food and drink. While everyone dined, a DJ would do crowd work, shouting out birthdays and anniversaries, and building up the anticipation. Then the show began and, afterward, a meet and greet. Now, the tickets are close to $100 with fees and no longer include any portion toward food and drink. Yet the show remains the exact same (minus some of the DJ's pre-show set). The in water portion of the show lasts about 30 minutes, so you are essentially paying $100 for 30 minutes. And listen, I agree that the show is objectively cool, the mermaids are wildly entertaining, and I would a pay pretty price to watch. But at a rate of $100 for 30 minutes, the current price is not justifiable.I hope the performers are taking home a larger paycheck, because if the only people profiting from the new pricing are the hotel, this is nearing a scam.

Great place to enjoy this mermaid experience. Nothing especially fabulous about the food but it was okay. The seating is stained and there's a musty smell. Doesn't seem very clean. The show does provide a distraction and kids won't care about anything else. Definitely bring them for the experience.Parking: You need to drive to the front of the hotel and let the valet have the car. It's ten dollars if you attend the show. Otherwise, good luck finding parking.

We came here for the mermaid brunch. The environment was so fun. Everyone was there celebrating and having a great time. The show itself was unique, fun and different. It's very pricey. $85 for adults and $30 for kids. There was a fun dj. It doesn't feel like you're in a ship with all the aquariums around the restaurant and then the mermaid windows. That was very cool. The food was really good. The service was mediocre. The server didn't seem thrilled to be there. She seemed like a disgruntled greasy spoon server. I would expect better service for the environment and price. I couldn't even get a drink. Overall we enjoyed the food and the show.

This was definitely a unique experience! There was a mermaid and merman that took turns in the water. Half the place was little kids in mermaid costumes which we weren't really expecting. It was like a Disney experience with all the little kids. I bet at night it is definitely a different experience. The food was good though, pretty general.

Call ahead because it was closed despite Google listing it as open. Looks really cool from the outside. Fortunately, Naked Crab is next door, so we enjoyed dinner there instead.

Bartender Christian…. AMAZING!I was traveling alone, and he was the best. Explained drinks, entertainment, food… he was busy as hell and still made it a point to chat when he could. Def understood the nature of the night and his clientele and I’m extremely happy he was there. Made my trip

Foods mediocre and very expensive. Nice atmosphere and staff are very friendly. I think you could do better elsewhere.

This has been a popular Florida tourist attraction for decades. However, lately ... not sure why ... but they kind of ruined it. It USED TO BE a Mermaid show where performers in brightly colored Mermaid costumes swam gracefully by the windows while you were dining ... did flips and turns ... and actually looked like real mermaids. As society slowly starts to degrade and fall apart before our eyes, so did this show. Perhaps now it should be 'The Wreck Bar sponsored by Porn Hubb" There is only one performer who wears a mermaid costume now, at the end of the show. The others wear stripper-like lingerie. They don't wear tails or fins ... it's basically mostly clothed strippers swimming around the windows and seductively waving through the glass. It's not a terrible show ... but it just lacks the old mermaid magic and whimsy. Even the announcer sounds like he walked straight out of the DJ booth at Mons Venus. The kicker is now you pay $65 for the show ... granted $35 per ticket comes as a food/beverage credit. So you basically pay $30 for the ticket and $35 for the food, of which I've had Stouffers TV dinners that were more appetizing. The drinks here are surprisingly weak for a 'Wreck Bar' and expensive. $35 won't even get you a burger and a beer here, so plan on your dinner bill exceeding the $35 food credit, included with the $65 ticket. The performers come around with a bucket asking for tips after the show. (I guess the $30 goes to the resort?) Don't get me wrong ... the girls work hard for their tips swimming around in nipple tassels underwater for 30 minutes, or so. There really isn't a storyline, choreography or anything new ... every few seconds a girl dips down in front of a window, blows kisses, poses for a picture and then floats back up until the next girl comes down. Techno music plays throughout. This is still something unique to see and the bar looks like an old ship with portholes, etc. which is pretty cool. It's overall pretty unique ... although when there were all mermaids and the show was slightly less risque, I think it was a whole lot better. The food has always been bad ... but the show used to be better. Still worth it to do, if you have never been ... but I wouldn't rush to go back until it goes back to being a true mermaid show. You'd get more for your dollar at Solid Gold Gentleman's Club downtown.

My wife and I came here for the mermaid burlesque show and dinner. The bartender, Mark, was excellent as were the cocktails. The ceviche was very good also, but the seafood pasta was mostly pasta with very little seafood. The mermaid burlesque show was enjoyable I guess. The crowd seemed to enjoy it more than I did. It was really just women and one man appearing in front of the windows and removing an item of clothing without ever revealing full nudity of any kind. I did not expect nudity of course, but I thought there would be more gymnastics or something. There was also one performer who was quite heavy and unattractive whom I could have done without.

I will need to go back I arrived to the show late so my seats were not the best and I couldn't really see the girls. But the staff accommodated us as best they could. It was great. Getting here was hard cause I didn't realize it was in the hotel. The restaurant was super dark and a bit loud ( we were in the back). I wonder if brunch will be different. From what I was able to see the women were phenomenal. This was my first burlesque show. If you cannot eat seafood this is not the place to go. I'm allergic so I just had the Latin sushi roll which is meat wrapped in rice and plantain on top. The drinks were good a bit sweet but really good.

I want to say thank you to the staff at the Wreck Bar who were working on the evening of 12/29/23 - particularly Shannell, Shaniqa, and Venetia. Some members of my party had to leave the burlesque show before it started due to a family emergency. When I told the hostess to remove their names from the list of celebrations, she spoke to the manager and refunded their tickets. I really appreciate their kindness and understanding. The remaining guests in my party really enjoyed the drinks, entrees and desserts. The mermaid burlesque show was phenomenal as was the entertainment provided pre show by the DJ. I would recommend this as an amazing and unique experience! My family and I plan to return for both the mermaid and mermen burlesque shows again.
