We are locals and consider Timpano to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area.. we regularly order in. However last night, I dined in the restaurant and brought someone who had never been and I couldn't be more disappointed in the entire experience. For appetizers we ordered the focaccia bread, Cesar salad, and the grilled octopus. The octopus was not cooked at ALL, it was extremely fishy- and the presentation was concerning, just the pink tentacles. Focaccia was flavorless soft inside almost like a sponge cake.. Our server must have forgotten to put the rest of our order in or had it sitting in the window for a while; the presentation of our entrees says both. We got the limone spaghetti with lump crab, entirely flavorless. The cacio e Pepe is my go to generally as well as the pork Milanese- the cacio e Pepe showed no pepper and the overcooked noodles sat in a bed of what seemed like cream. The pork Milanese is typically delicious and crispy, but last night the breading was so soft that it was unpleasant. We ordered another round of drinks, which never came. We weren't even offered a round when the manager came to take our food back.. Leaving this restaurant last night felt like the walk of shame. I'm not sure if this was an off night, or if the kitchen staff has turned over.. but it was unfortunately and disappointingly one of the worst meals I've ever had. Like I said, I have been many times and order takeout a lot from here- so I'm just writing this review so that hopefully there is better quality control. Perhaps the fourth espresso bean in the espresso martini was really bad luck for the entire meal 💔

We sat almost 15 mins before our waiter came and greeted us at our table. Other than that our experience was nice

To be honest we were pretty disappointed with our experience at Timpano this time. The first time we dinned here it was a good but this time unfortunately wasn't the same experience. We invited another couple with us and choose to come here due to the fact on what we experienced originally. Our server was GREAT! But he got over sat and just completely forgot about us at times. I order two different mocktails and both were 0/10. The “passion fruit friz” was not fresh passion fruit at ALL! It was sugar on top of sugar and taste like a really sugary juice box. I ordered a mocktail mojito and to be honest idk which drink was worse. lol now the food part. We ordered the octopus app(octopus was over cooked and the polenta that it was rested on had absolutely no salt... 4/10) Saffron Rice Balls( they need more flavor.. just was ok) Burrata ( 10/10 loved everything about it) Waygu truffle carpaccio ( 10/10 as well very very good so much flavor and tender). Now on to the dinner part of things.... My fiancé and one of our other friends ordered the ribeye and they also gave it a 9/10. I had the halibut piccata and the fish was cooked to perfection but unfortunately they didn't cook the sauce long enough or may have put way to much white wine in it where the alcohol was over powering to where I had to scrap the sauce off the fish just to eat it... 5/10. My friend had the tuna tartar and she loved it 10/10. Dunno if we would be coming back anytime soon... there's a lot of other great italian spots in the area to enjoy.

Great experience! Would definitely go back. The chicken parm and branzino are highly recommended. Food service, ambience, wines, everything was out of this world. If you visit Fort Lauderdale, please take a night to make a reservation at this place. I would say best Italian place in south Florida!

The service and food were top tier. Steak was cooked very well. It was a bit noisy than what I expected but overall I would recommend it.

I swear they have the best salmon! I love their burrato appetizer and their donut dessert!

The burata salad and herb crusted salmon were extremely tasty. Service was professional, and the atmosphere was beautiful. Timpano is a great restaurant!

Excellent birthday celebration brunch. Everyone loved the food except for the hamburgers. This was our second brunch at Timpanos and we will definitely return for more. The pancakes are divine!

We went here 2 years ago and it was okay. But last night, we tried it again and WOW! The service was absolutely incredible from everyone, especially our server Derrick and the GM Patrick. The new food was astounding and delicious but honestly we were blown away by the service and attentiveness. We will definitely be adding this to our regular spots and recommendations

Despite having reservations, our group of 9 still had a wait of almost 1 hour. No Gluten friendly menu and the poor waiter was not familiar with gluten-free options. Atmosphere is only at the bar otherwise subpar. The food was not worth the wait. Sometimes a name is just that a name.

It was my Birthday dinner with reservations made (Party of 9)We were not seated until almost an hour. The manager were not too empathetic to give any incentive but some Champagne. The service was very slow and scattered..BUT the Food was AMAZING a bit disappointed, but glad to have enjoyed my Family, Friends and Food???❤️?

The ambience in the room was great. We sat on the side near the main bar and it was great atmosphere indeed. Our server Rich was phenomenal. Super great guy with a great personality. A great night for me and my date.

While in FL for a Dolphins game, we had dinner here based on a recommendation from a friend & we're so glad we did! The decor, the service, & most importantly the food were all outstanding! Our server Taylor was so friendly & very knowledgeable about wine; she & my husband chatted the whole evening & she brought samples for us to try. Being a very picky vegetarian, I was thrilled with the butter lettuce salad (minus the prosciutto) & the spinach ravioli. My husband's porkchop florentina was also amazing & we finished the meal with espresso gelato that was fantastic! Our meal was so incredible that we came back the following night...Rich was our server & also wonderful. Lastly, we appreciated that the manager(s) came to our table to ask about our meal & express their thanks for us being there. The overall experience here was just a highlight of our trip! If we're ever in the area, we will definitely come here again. I really wish they had a place near us...
