We found the spot after there was a flash flood warning near the restaurant where we had outdoor reservations. Being from the Louisiana, I can tell you that all of the food at this place tastes authentic. From the gumbo, to the beignets, everything was so good. We will be stopping in again. AND they are on Doordash!
Been here quite a few times save your time and go to New Orleans, for the area I understand the importance of pricing but in my opinion the food is not worth the price nor the hype $28 dollars for chicken and a brick of a biscuit is laughable the sides I understand are shareable but $15 dollars for the Mac with cheese wasn't the most value especially for the taste. The best item on the menu is the greens.
Phabie was absolutely incredible! She went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable her service was truly immaculate. Her warm personality and amazing vibe made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The food? A-MA-ZING! Every single dish we tried was packed with flavor--don't be afraid to try anything on the menu, because it's all seriously delicious. 10/10 would come back again and again!
We went to Voodoo Bayou to celebrate my son's 21st birthday and we could not have made a better choice. Everything was great. The food was outstanding and the service was perfect. I was concerned as we had a group of 11 but everything came out great. Hot delicious food, great drinks, and a lively atmosphere. What more can you ask for a birthday party???!!!
The atmosphere and service were great—our server was fantastic, the drinks were solid, and I loved the decor. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the vibe. I ordered the redfish, which was suggested by our server, but it was underwhelming—still had scales and bones, which made it hard to enjoy. The sides (greens and red beans & rice) were actually the highlight. My partner's salmon stuffed with crab cake was okay, but definitely not worth the price. Overall, despite the great service, I wouldn't go back.
The place is beautiful inside and out! Rod iron outside, dark tin ceiling tiles, cool lit corners for pics, colorful bathroom with a large pink sink! Great music!! We ordered BBQ Shrimp which comes with bread to dunk, cornbread (a must), fried green tomaotes (3) that was not what we expected - these are thinly sliced, have a sauce and greens on top and are not able to grab with your hands. We had the red fish dinner, jambalaya (mild spicy) and crabcake dinner portion. The only "issue" was there is cool dim livhting but it makes it difficult to read the menus. Maybe have fake candle lights on the table. Ut i can see people taking it.
Outside dining was pretty cool. Although you can't help but to get distracted by all the people passing by. The jambala dish I ordered was excellent. Temperature hot and very tasty. Some dishes and the drinks can be pricey, so choose wisely. The service was excellent. Nada our waitress wassup attentive and very present. This was a really good evening in Las Olas.
Danielle was an amazing server and we had a delicious meal. Highly recommend!!
Old fashions are the best on Las Olas. Fried chicken is like home made. Awesome atmosphere
The Food here was incredible & so flavorful! We came from NYC & this was the best food we had in Ft. Lauderdale. Mariana was friendly & recommended wonderful dishes and we loved everything we had. Would SUPER recommend the Red Fish & the Cajun Pasta <3

Mariana was great!
Danielle was so attentive and had the best smile and aura! She was absolutely wonderful. The food was wonderful. The vibe and music was heaven.
I probably should give this place a 3, but because of Tony, Caroline, and the gumbo, I'm doing 4 stars. I was seated at a Hightop by the bar and waited 20 minutes for service; no one came to my table. Several waiters walked by though. I decided to just sit at the bar where Tony immediately assisted me and then Caroline. After reading the reviews I was excited to try this place out. Not a good first impression for a tourist. Now for the food, the gumbo was great. The scallop potatoes and the bbq shrimp was ok. Just like all the other reviews, drinks were great!
The food ambiance and drinks were amazing. Highly recommended and the service was excellent. Mariana was very attentive and recommended really nice drinks. Love it! Will
Como back for sure!
