We, Fort Lauderdale, have another winner with this local dig. Man, from the Halloween decorations (it’s the season) to the warmth you feel when you enter the space and see a bar surrounded by dark wood. A few screens pepper the inside and the service is present and helpful. The beer selection is on point as I ordered a German Pils and my sister got the stout. Burger special unbelievable at $12 for a burger, fries, and a beer of choice. In 2025 what a bargain. The playlist included The Cranberries and Garbage. My sister and I decided to make this our new place. Congrats to Waxy‘s on a job well done, oh and you must try the curry chicken. 👌🏾

A few weeks ago we were coming in for dinner. I called ahead and a lovely gal said I'll hold the table for you. We were a party of 9, dining with our 90 year old Papa. Not only was the table ready for us, we had a fantastic server named Denise. She was attentive, funny, personable and just great for us. Thank you Waxy's for being accommodating and customer service focused.
This is the second time you have held a table for our group of 9 while we were in routee. It means alot!

Not sure why one would order a wood fired pizza at an Irish place but I did because it was directly across street from hotel and wood fired pizza I was craving. Hahahah- that pizza is NOT wood fired, maybe frozen “wood fired” When it came out and I had a look along with a bite I asked the bartender is this wood fired, she said yeah, another bite and I was like take it back, no way this is wood fired. Her response as, “ who orders wood fired pizza at a Irish place anyways” it made me think, we both were right, who orders wood fired pizza at an Irish place and it’s definitely not wood fired. Gross cardboard oven pizza is what it tasted like. Guinness was good.

Phillip was top notch. The potato skins and Sheppard pie was something to write home about. Washing it down with a smithwicks and harps was the perfect bow on this gift.
Kid-friendliness: There was a cute 4 legged kid named George that was sooooo adorable!
