Congratulations to Junkanoos for being one of the first restaurants to reopen after Ian! We came here for drinks and apps. The atmosphere at the new place is pleasant and pretty, considerably more upscale than the beloved old wooden structure. The seating capacity is significantly less than the old place. We hoped to enjoy the bar specials but there was no seating at the bar and little chance of that opening up. So we took a table. The server was not thrilled that we wanted only apps, it was kind of a no win. The apps were great, but our mixed drinks were surprisingly weak; I would order a beer next time. Overall a decent place but not what I had hoped. We will never see again the beloved, old wooden structure on the beach with the huge bar and overall seating capacity with that amazing view.

We had a party of 6 adults and we were not allowed to sit at a table to have drinks unless we ordered food. The rude hostest said we can order our own drinks at the bar and sit over off to the side in low to the ground chairs.There was no wait at the time and several open tables.... Ridiculous we couldn't sit at a table to have a drink.

If I could, I would give ZERO STARS.....I was refused dining experience on patio with my fully certified service dog. Very rude Mexican descent manager, who refused to give us his name was very rude and completely not knowledgeable. He wanted to know my exact condition.When I go places with my dog I know exactly what I can be asked. Have been doing this for 7 years and I don't need to disclose anyone my medical condition. Owner of this place needs to educate employees what to ask, without compromise my confidentiality and medical condition. Shame on you...

Casual, waterfront atmosphere with attentive, friendly staff. Fish is delicious, as is rice and vegetables. We came back twice. Love this place!
Our group of 6 arrived at 6:30 on a Friday night. We got drinks from the bar as they told us of an hour wait; beautiful night so no problem. The crown royal on the rocks was a super generous pour- I'm from the Chicago area and usually get half the alcohol and charged a lot more so this was a welcome change. The server was top notch and somehow memorized all 6 orders and no mistakes when the food came. Orders included fried shrimp. white fish and shrimp tacos. Side dishes: steak fries, sweet potato fries, french fries and clam chowder. Everything was great. I was especially happy with the home made steak fries. I guess the cole slaw left a little to be desired. It was a great night with views of the marina as the day turned to evening. Glad that the Junkanoo is up and running even though I miss the one on the beach.
