Matanzas on the Bay

Absolutely terrible experience – do NOT waste your time or money.

Me and my party of 14 people (including myself) came into this restaurant because we had heard good things, and it looked like a nice place to sit down and eat. We even made a reservation for 6:30.
When we arrived on time, we had to wait until 7:00 just to be seated – despite the restaurant not being full at all. To make it worse, they split us into two separate tables even though we booked in advance and were assured they could accommodate us.
Once seated, no one came to take our order for another 30 minutes. We asked for drinks for the adults and a simple butter pasta for my 4-year-old. Another 30 minutes passed with nothing. Instead of bringing the drinks or the child’s food, the server finally came by to ask if we were ready to order entrées. We placed our full order, but our drinks did not arrive until 8:00 – an hour and a half after our reservation time!
By then, my child was starving, so I had to leave and get her ice cream elsewhere because she couldn’t wait any longer. Meanwhile, our friends were so frustrated they ended up walking out and telling the servers they’d had enough.
The service was painfully slow, disorganized, and completely unprofessional. We wasted nearly two hours, never even got food, and still ended up paying $50 just to sit around getting hungrier.
This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Never coming back, and I highly recommend you don’t either.

Went here as they were advertising preseason NFL games and the last trip to FMB this was the best food and drink hands down. Ordered a beer, did not have modelo, did not have peroni, got a Stella. Ordered chips and salsa/ guacamole. What a sad plate for $15. Should have stayed at maragitaville for their inflated food costs. I guess this is a pizza place now. Great views.

Stuffed mushrooms, I wouldnt put cheddar on those it kinda ruined it. I would add a little garlic butter to it and have a Munster or provolone on top.
Other than that food was great. We loved the location and the live music which is every day. Key lime colada was great too.

Mario was rude, cold and inattentive. It was probably one of the worst places we’ve ever been. I’m not sure why Pink Shell Resort recommended this place.

The upstairs is open, but the dinning room is still closed. They don't offer the full menu as of yet. You might want to see what they have to offer before sitting down to eat.

Really nice outdoor beach bar. The beach, bread and pizza were great. The wait staff was pleasant and prices are fair. When we were there they even had live music. A nice view of the bay and the canal

Jeffrey at Peteys upper deck was AWESOME! Very accommodating and kind. Live music everyday. Great pizza, queso and atmosphere!
