Rae's Real Italian

We came to the Pink Shell in May to celebrate several of our friend's 60th birthdays and we were not disappointed! The rooms were beautiful, the beach was amazing, and the food and the pools were wonderful!! Even with all of that, the best part of our trip was our server Junior. He was so friendly and has the best personality!! He went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best vacation ever!! We would all literally come back again just to see Junior. Thank you so much for your breathtaking resort, friendly staff and especially Junior!! 😊

My family took me for Mother’s Day dinner to Rae’s last night. The atmosphere and servers were amazing. My families meals were ok but my meal was VERY disappointing. We started with fried calamari. Great portion but VERY greasy. You could see the oil on the calamari when it was dropped to table. I ordered the bolognese and I counted two bite sizes pieces of meat in my entire dish. It was basically pasta with red sauce. Bolognese should be loaded with meat. I enjoyed the beach views but meal was very disappointing

We had the special grouper dish and it was excellent. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.

The food was great! Our server was excellent and attentive. We went at night, but I would imagine during daylight the view would've been great, price was in line with what one would expect at a hotel resort

Great food & great service. Isabella was a sweet & efficient server. All 6 of our meals were outstanding. Free valet parking with a restaurant receipt which is a nice touch. Aside from the 2 walls of floor to ceiling windows looking out from the 2nd floor towards the pool & Gulf of America (great view of sunset), the small“dining room” felt more like a plain-Jane conference room in a moderately-priced hotel. With a cosmetic remodeling update, this could be a good water-view dinner destination in the Lee County Collier county Metro.

We usually eat at Rae's once or twice while staying at the Pink Shell in Ft Myers and we have never had a bad meal! It's a hidden gem!

Service was excellent! Jon was your server.He was very attentive and also everyone we came in contact with. Food was excellent! I had the spaghetti carbonara and asked for spinach with it. No problem!! Very, very good.Husband had chik. parmesan.. chicken cooked perfect. Atmosphere beautiful… the pool and beach beautiful! Pool bartender was great..

Meal was spot on, server was attentive and made great suggestions. Loved the atmosphere and view of the gulf was amazing.

Vegetarian options: There were two vegans in our party and with little effort and Q&A they were very happy with their meals.

We had a great dinner. Our server was attentive without the 4 of us feeling rushed. If you make reservations, request a table by the windows. We were treated to a gorgeous sunset, then had a wonderful dinner.

Convenient and tasty, good service. We sat by the windows facing the beach. I didn't realize how annoying and loud the AC was until it cycled off, then back on again. You can't hear the ambiance music when it's running. In all no major issues and it was enjoyable.
