The Whale was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. They just had their groundbreaking ceremony weekend and will start rebuilding. The new place will be a gorgeous 3 floor venue. My daughter's band, Gilded Lily Band, had the chance to perform during the weekend. Looking forward to seeing the new place in 2025. SWFL Strong.

The greatest owners, management, and bartenders around! ;) Mike, Dawn, and Greg have worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful spot for locals and tourists to hang out, despite the fact that the restaurant was destroyed by hurricane Ian almost 2 years ago…. There’s always something fun going on at the whale!! ? Can’t wait for the rebuild! ❤️

Have you ever seen an unhappy whale? No. Ya know why? They eat deliciously, bask in the sun and are surrounded by their fun little pod. What's not to be happy about!The Whale is the place to come if you're looking to be surrounded by happy, carefree people who are just out here loving life. Both customers and staff...these people are living their best lives.It's the place to come if you're hungry, and even if you didn't know you were...once you get a whiff of the deliciousness wafting through the air, your belly will instantly put you on blast. And you'll be hooked, EVERYTHING is sooooo good. And it's even better with an iced-cold bevvie. Or two. Or seven.The Whale is always my first stop when in Fort Myers. Good thing I don't live there...I might turn into one!

A great place on FMB! Owners have helped so much with the rebuild of the island and have created a great establishment for both locals and tourists to enjoy! Great staff, vibe, music and rotating food trucks-just across the street from the beach! Can't wait for their new brick and mortar to break ground!
