Walked in and both employees were focused on cleaning the floors. They never greeted me then when she finally came she touched my plate with same gloves that she was using to clean. I asked her to change gloves and she walked away. Disgusting and unsanitary. The food is usually great, but what such horrible service. She acted as if she knew no English, which is fair. But to throw her hands in the air and walk away to continue cleaning. It made me feel that due to me speaking English that she didn’t care to assist.

There was a pretty good selection of food. We got picadillo, roast pork, and some guava pastries. The service was ok. The reason they got a two was for the confusion. It seemed like no one knew who was going to ring anyone up. We were charged for two waters but didn't get them until I looked at the receipt. I hadn't realized he heard me order them. I would have liked some but their soda fountain wasn't hooked up. It was hot in there. It seemed like the AC was working but just barely. The food was all too dry. There were no sauces or pico or anything to fix it. Then the pastries were also dry. That may have been normal. I just was expecting a cheese and guava pastry to be moist... Kind of like a danish. Anyways, the food was dry, drinks were either water or things I didn't know, it was hot, and it was confusing to order and pay. On top of everything, it was expensive! We paid $88.46 for four meals, three waters, a juice and two pastries. I guess that's not super expensive. But it wasn't worth it. I'd give it another shot. But if it's the same, that would be the last time.

This is the second time I have been there since new owners, not even close to the way it was the display of food is BLA looking dry food other food just soaking I watched the man making the plate put the tray on scale and take a single piece of meat out and put it back so petty?‍♂️?so sad it was one of my favorite places also got 3 cuban sandwiches bread was stale. Meat was cold didn’t even press it. Very disappointing. Don’t think I’ll go back.

This spot was awesome. Lots changed. My recent Cuban sandwich was not on cuban bread. The meat was cold. Condiments were so little and soaked into the dense thick bread. And then it was twice the price!

Food is great. However my only complaint is the hours of operation. A few days ago I had left work at 5 to go grab dinner and to my surprise they changed their hours. And now they don’t even open on Sundays. I recently visited tampa and discovered that this same place over there is open 24 hours! . I’m not sure if this location changed owners but maybe extending the hours of operations will be better for customers

Do not listen to these old people talk about what they think is good Cuban food. This is the best in town and very flavorful! Hands down one of my favorite places to go.

This was my second time having Cuban food. The first time was at Versailles Restaurant Cuban Cuisine in Miami. Two different experience. This one, compared to Versailles, is obviously much more low key.It is very inexpensive. The food does not look very appealing. I am not qualified to judge the authenticity of the taste, but I wouldn’t say I enjoyed the food. The coffee is too milky and a bit too sweet for my taste. The staff was patient, given how crowded the place was (I got there at about lunch time). She was not polite in the Western sense of the word but i could tell that she was kind and tried to be helpful in her own way.Overall, an interesting experience but I may not come back.

This place blows my mind. A very good friend recommended this place and I tried it out. I keep going back. The service is great, very kind and helpful people. They always smile with pride sharing their food. The food is amazing. So much natural flavor. It's nice getting a home cooked meal at a restaurant. Great place, great people, great food! The price, unbeatable!

The food here is fresh, amazing and absolutely delicious. The place is supercool with Cuban decor. They have natural fruit juice. The food portions are huge they must be split for at least 3 people and their menu it’s huge. They carry ox tail, paella, fish, pork, chicken and anything you can think of. Did I mention it’s cheap authentic Cuban food. Of course we got vegan food.

Do you miss pastelas? fresh bakery? the smells of Cuban food? How about a Cuban sammich or a midnight, or better yet a colada???? This place is a welcome Cuban Rest, serving some of the best stuff this side of Miami. Great menu, wonderful bakery.

Service was subpar. Unless you speak the language, you will be pushed to the rear of the line. No air-conditioning inside!! It must’ve been 100° inside the restaurant.Food was excellent. Got two chicken empanadas a potato ball and some Cuban rice.

What has happened here? When this place first opened up it was amazing. They had a great variety of Cuban dishes, and everything was mouth watering. But now, they have a very small and limited menu. No longer can you get arroz imperial. No longer can you get the lobster and shrimp meals. And their rabo incendido (beef oxtail) which was probably the best made out here in Lee county, isn't served anymore either. I used to get breakfast here regularly, and would eat here with my family sporadically. Looks like I'm going to have to find another good Cuban restaurant to become a regular customer of.

My platter was only $12 the food was exactly what I was hoping for. Very authentic Spanish food! I had the rice and beans with curry chicken and pumpkin. You don’t understand how happy I was for this food! This is a must try and dine in. The staff was so helpful or at least the guy that helped me. And when I mean helpful, I mean patient as I tried to figure what I wanted.

This place was supposed to be open until 8 but they actually close at 5 PM. I ordered pork tamales which had two flecks of pork in each tamale. Next many items on the menu were not available. In the Moro rice, there lacked savory flavor, the rice was cooked but lacked the typical depth in flavor where this rice is cooked with garlic and onions and sometimes even a red pepper, but this version had none of that. In giving this a try, the cooked meats looked like they were sitting there all day. Honestly Pollo Tropical has better. The portions are however generous, but I was there at 4:40 PM so there was a lot of food left. Being from Miami and eating at similar establishments, with very authentic foods, ample choices, and the freshest ingredients, I would defer to that region to get delicious Cuban food.
