Beans Restaurant on MLK & Broadway is a hidden gem! Jose our server was attentive but not annoying, pleasant and on point with drinks and making sure we had all we needed. Cuba Libres were delicious and the food is generous portions for a great price. I had the Ropa Vieja with white rice, red beans & sweet plantains and husband had the oxtail with white rice, red beans and French fries. All delicious and flavorful. Highly recommend!

When I first heard about Beans, I assumed it was strictly Cuban cuisine, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fusion of flavors from other Latin American countries. The friendly staff made me feel like a regular from the moment I walked in, and the owner even shared the heartfelt story behind the restaurant’s name. It’s clear this is a family-run place where everyone genuinely cares about what they do. You can feel the passion in every detail—from the carefully crafted menu to the great selection of beer, all within a cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere enhanced by authentic Latin music playing in the background.

Amazing and delicious lunch today at Beans Restaurant. Our waitress, Mai was excellent and very helpful in selecting the food we wanted to try. She was attentive to all of our needs. I selected the Pollo Asado / Grilled Chicken with the salad, tostones and black beans. The chicken was very flavorful and the combinations that Mai helped me select complemented the chicken. I ordered the empanadas to take home and they were delicious even after reheating them in the oven. We will be back and recommend this gem to family & friends.
