It’s been a while since I’ve visited Bennett’s ‼️ arrived Saturday at 10:15 AM and I was absolutely disappointed ? The case usually filled with freshly baked donuts barely had any Donuts displayed, So I asked for an egg sandwich and they said they were out of it, our group decided we would go somewhere else, we did buy a strawberry sprinkle donut for one of the children in our group .The plain glazed donuts were nonexistent and the other ones did not look very fresh, there was a musty smell ,the floor was completely dirty and it just seemed like a skeleton crew was keeping the place going! The vibe has totally changed! ?? ??

Good donuts and I'm sure coffee, and breakfast sandwiches, but sorely miss two really great staff, Lisa and Jeremiah. Lisa was really sweet, and I've not experienced someone that works any better with customers, making their experience FUN, and enjoyable. It's like he's never had a bad day. He joked with customers, and knew all the regular's names. They've lost two really great staff. Disappointed.

Great off the beaten path place. Friendly staff. Delicious donuts.

Yes, the hype is real! Great Donuts and coffee. Wonderful employees. Very friendly. I decided to give it a try and been coming back almost everyday when I'm in town. Dog friendly!

On researching the area, I waited all week to visit on my last day. I wasn't all that hungry when I came so I just got a buttermilk glazed donut and a cappuccino. Neither were to write home about. The inside of the shop was extremely warm, too so I tried sitting outside. Could've been nice on a different day/time perhaps.

The donuts are undeniably good. Except they have hardly any of them. AC is never on inside the shop. Smells musty. Been coming here for years. I don't know what happened but this place just died. It used to be filled with people chilling and drinking coffee, like an actual coffee shop. Now, the baby boomers wake up at the crack of dawn, snatch up the donuts, and get out of the stifling building as fast as possible.Come here once, at 8 am, to try the donuts. Then just go to Krispy Kreme because there you wont have to deal with the disappointment.

Bennett’s was great. Best glazed donut I have ever had and solid coffee as well. The only reason this got 4 stars instead of 5 was their inventory being rather low and not having everything that was on the menu. Definitely arrive early! Great coffee and donut shop overall.

Amazing experience! The man behind the counter had the BEST attitude and was the most exuberant person I’ve seen serving customers! Go Jeremiah!

We arrived at Bennett's around 8:45 and the selection was just about gone. My daughter got the raised glazed, my wife the sinful cinny roll, and I had the maple long john. We sampled each other's donut's and loved each one. I can't wait to go again only this time a little earlier. I had the mild columbian coffee with was very good.

I was so excited to try the donuts. Wanted to try them since I’ve moved here 7 years ago. Wanted to have the beignets but I guess they don’t make them anymore. I bought a dozen donuts and a coffee. The gentleman working was really nice. The coffee was good but the donuts were horrible!! I love donuts but these taste like bad cooking oil . I was really disappointed. A waste of $22.

I remember when Bennett's was the best. It's gone way down since it's beginning. My understanding is that there are new owners.Last few times we stopped here, it was mediocre, at best. The coffee is good, but always only luke warm. Donuts are still good. Today, there wasn't any hot coffee at all. How do you run a coffee shop without coffee? I'm not sure how they're still in business. Such a shame!!

Wish my stay in Fort Myers was longer so I had more opportunities to visit Bennett’s. I absolutely love the coffee, donuts and friendly service. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go to morning stop.

We saw this coffee shop featured on The Great Food Truck Race so we had to give it a try! We went on a weekday morning so it wasnt too busy, only a couple people behind us in line. There was only one person working and I felt she was tired, impatient and rushing us which was too bad. The doughnuts were good, my teenage son ate 3 just on the way home!! Not exactly what I expected after seeing the shop on the store but still a fun stop.

I was a frequent Bennett’s visitor for approximately 8 years. The service has been incredible in the past. The experience of driving downtown and to have the cafe experience was always a delight.Until they switched owners. Now the building, according to the thermostat in house was 86 degrees of stagnant hot air. Combined that with the large seasonal lines and people sandwiched in, with the new presence of flies, I just wanted to walk out.20 minutes of waiting in this hot line, I finally arrived to order. The bearded man at the counter was friendly, personal and funny. The only saving grace of this experience. They loaded their limited supply of donuts in tin foil, like a bagel. Upon opening, all the frosting fell off. The coffee cup was flimsy, when my wife grabbed it to drink, the lid popped off and spilled all over me when driving, staining the car and burning my poor wife. The outdoor patio usually is clean, swept daily by the previous owner/staff. Now, covered in debris/leaves. With tables and not enough chairs to sit at the now rusting tables. Of course, inside is too hot, stagnant, and gross to sit with the loss of the beautiful cafe music and ambiance it once had. It’s too bad, because the coffee (what didn’t spill out of the cheap cups that were once served in beautiful mugs), was still full bodied and flavorful. As well as the donuts being fluffy, delicious, albeit completely ruined with frosting scraped off by the tinfoil covering.I miss the old Bennett’s. I’m sad to say after 8 years of visiting every weekend, I will have to find a new cafe/donut shop with my friends/family.
