Please be VERY careful when you order drinks with kratom. I had a few sips of mine and ended up throwing up right at the bar. Awful feeling, my stomach is still hurting and it’s been almost 24 hrs. I went with my best friend and she had pretty much the same experience. I will never go back there again.

If you’re looking for the best vibe, look no further than Haley. She makes hookah like an art form smooth, flavorful, and always on point. And don’t even get me started on her kava drinks… they’re epic. Perfect balance, perfect energy, and honestly the best I’ve ever had. Haley’s not just good at what she does, she makes the whole experience feel special every single time. 100% recommend she’s the reason I keep coming back.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious drinks, and wonderful service. We went there for the first time and Elaine did such a good job of welcoming us and immediately making us feel like regulars that we had to come the next day to celebrate my husband's birthday. Can't wait until our next visit!

If you’re looking for a mid-tier brew and a crew of kavatenders who’ll ignore you for hours while they hang with their friends, this is the place for you.

Just a heads up: don’t sit at the bar. Apparently, if you’re not already a regular or part of their little social circle, you’re invisible. You have to go up to the register every time just to order, and even then, good luck. During my visit, not a single bartender came over to see if we wanted another round. I even looked at my date and asked, “Have you noticed that girl hasn’t checked on us once?” She replied, “It wasn’t even the bartender who took our order, and she literally said, ‘I don’t think she’s gonna get to you.’” Keep in mind, the place wasn’t even busy.

On top of that, the staff gives off this “mean girl in high school” cosplay energy, like they’re more focused on vibing with each other than actually working. A friend of mine even pointed out they only ever seem to hire young white women, and honestly, it does feel like they’re going for a very specific aesthetic that has nothing to do with good service.

I work in the bar industry and hit a lot of kava spots in the area. While this isn’t the place I hear the most complaints about, the complaints I do hear are extremely consistent, especially from people who get ignored at the bar. It’s baffling to me. You’d think they’d want to make money, but the service tells a different story.

I left a bad tip, and I say that as someone who hates tipping less than 20%, especially being in the service industry myself. But I won’t reward bad service, and this was straight-up lazy and dismissive.

And to top it off? When I went to close out, the kavatender didn’t even know what I had. I had to tell her. So yeah, I could’ve just lied and paid for less. Real solid business plan.

Burma might be one of the nicer-looking kava bars around, but unless something changes, I’m not going back. And from what I’ve seen and heard, I know I’m not alone.

Weak drink

A great place to have a drink and a chat. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere activities for guests(pool table, chess, puzzles ect)
