What a fabulous brunch for 5 ladies this past Sunday . It was rainy and gloomy, but we had an amazing time at Fancy’s Southern Cafe. Our server Danielle was amazing, very friendly and professional, she checked on our special requests w the chef. The food arrived quickly and it was soooo delicious. We split few apps : fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, doughnuts, fried frog 🐸 legs (omg ..the best frog legs I ve had anywhere)! I had catfish w waffles, my friends had mountain man omelette, sausage gravy and biscuits, crab Benedict, sausage patties, pancakes, Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious 🤤, everyone was happy. Oh ye..and we did bottomless mimosas ..$23 a person, was def worth the price w 4 dif juices to choose from to accompany. We ll be def back to such a fine establishment in Ft Myers, FL!!!
I took the family there for our first time and I will say we will definitely be back the food is amazing and the staff is very friendly
Where do I begin? Even with reservations on Easter, we were finally seated at a table with our friends that had been empty for more than the 30+ minutes we waited. I had to ask the waitress another 30 minutes after getting our drinks and donuts if she could please take our food order. Her response was ‘oh, I thought I already did’. Then it was nearly an hour before we received our cold food. The portions were also not normal sized; they were much smaller and definitely not the same quality as my husband and I have received in the past. My husbands drink (an Old Fashion) was only half full. Comments about some orders when finally delivered were ‘you’re lucky, this was the last one…’ When we let the waitress and manager know about the cold food and biscuits so burnt and hard you couldn’t cut them with a knife, they just made excuses. Sadly, we will not be back and all our friends that were there with us on our recommendation couldn’t believe the poor service and bad food. It was quite embarrassing, especially on Easter. Very sad to see what was one of our favorite restaurants so downhill so quickly.

Visited Fancy’s for takeout at night little more than an hour before closing. Initially wasn’t sure they were open as no one was in the dining but someone did come out and offer to take our order. We had the country fried steak and shrimp & grits with the Mac n cheese and sweet potato soufflé. The shrimp dipped in the grits mixed with the bacon pieces was absolutely amazing! The country fried steak also dipped in the grits to die for. It’s genuine southern comfort food and they apparently offer brunch on weekends which I imagine is also amazing! Would only say downside was dining room was empty when we arrived and took a minute or 2 before someone was seen. This was 8pm at night to be fair.

One of my family's favorite places to eat. The lunch portions are very generous and the dinner portions are huge. Great food and solid service. A lot of Southern Cuisine options and a variety of local drafts as well.

The étouffée was good. Fried chicken and collards were a little too salty for my liking. Overall it was a decent experience.

The food was excellent. The issue was at end of meal. We were never asked for separate bills . After we informed for bills to be separated
We quickly realized it wasn't going to happen. I understand a big party and bill. But no individual was paying for the entire bill. Just asked that bill be separated. That became way worse than it nedded to be. Sadly separation of a big bill is a nightmare.

Went to dinner last night with my son. One of our favorite restaurants. The new chef was amazing. There was a huge change in atmosphere and the quality of food had greatly improved. It had fallen off for while and just wasn’t what we were use too. But the food last night was incredible. Def will be returning.

We had a great time at Fancy’s! It’s tucked behind an old shopping center, but the inside is super cute. They did a nice job making the space feel inviting! Great service!! The food was amazing. We got the crab cake benedict, donuts, and chicken and waffles - they serve the syrup warm! And (not pictured because we ate it too fast!) biscuits and gravy. We’ll be back with friends and family! Can’t wait to try more from the menu!
