Mon Paris Coffee Shop & Bakery

My friend and I just happened upon this quaint little cafe when looking for a place for a coffee and chat. We will be back !! The coffees were delicious and the shared almond croissant was perfect - slightly warmed. The display case of pastries and breads are so tempting.
As we were leaving I spoke with 3 ladies enjoying their menu choices…. Each one raved how delicious their’s was… definitely on my go- to list now😊

Most of the older reviews are from the previous ownership — the new owner is absolutely fantastic! She’s also the chef in the back, and you can really taste the passion in everything she makes. The breakfast sandwiches and crepes are outstanding, and the coffee is delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with charming French music that makes you feel like you’re in a little café in Paris. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, great coffee, and a genuinely warm experience.

If you are looking for a local breakfast place that values their customers and has actual chocolate croissants, then look elsewhere. They wouldn't honor a gift certificate that was bought on May 10th because they are new owners and took over the business in June. The chocolate croissant barely had any chocolate in it. There are plenty of small businesses in the area to support that offer quality customer service and products. This isn't one of them.

This is the most adorable Parisian cafe! Highly recommend! The chocolate croissant was delicious and the caramel latte. I will be coming back for sure! It’s super cozy and I loved the music playing. Service was great! Brenda is so kind and the Eggs Benedict on a croissant was the best thing I ever tasted! The Chef is amazing!

Since this cafe has come under new ownership recently it is much improved. Everything we ordered was delicious, eggs, croissants, sandwiches, and pastries. I never rated it before the ownership changed because it used to be hit or miss.

Craving a chocolate croissant and have yet to find ‘the one’ I remembered this French bakery. I had an hour between appointments so decided to see if it was open yet as it had closed due to new ownership. To my delight, it was! What better place to get my craving than a French bakery, right?

Ambiance was as expected. There was also an entrance that lead out to a patio with table and chairs if fresh air was your preference.

Many of baked goods to choose from as you can see from the pictures. As for my chocolate croissant, a bit disappointing. Dry and barely any chocolate. I’d asked to have it warmed and it just flaked. All so very surprising coming from especially a FRENCH bakery. Which… leads me to surmise the others may be dry as well?

I gave it 3 stars as the cappuccino was tasty and ambiance was enjoyable.

I may or may not try it again. Just didn’t get authentic French vibe from food options. No baguette, jams even would have been nice.

I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is so cozy and charming that it truly feels like being in Paris. The décor creates a warm and inviting vibe, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a nice meal. Every dish I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We have lived in Fort Myers for over 20 years, and this place has not been a true French bakery for many years. None of the recent owners are French, and the products no longer reflect authentic French baking. It would make more sense to change the business name and adjust the menu to match the actual style they offer. This would bring more coherence and honesty to their brand.

In response to the owner: I understand broken AC. What I do not understand is a lack of a sign notifying of the closure, let alone the unlocked door.

I write this with a heavy heart. I have been visiting this cafe for years now, and it has gone down hill considerably. Today, at 9am, the business was not open despite signage indicating otherwise, and a recent confirmation of hours by the business. This has been the case for the past several months.

However, THE FRONT DOOR WAS UNLOCKED. UNLOCKED. I watched two would be customers walk in, and then exit again looking confused. This is also not the first time this has happened.

I usually only get a drink there, which is generally fine. The service is a little hit and miss--some of the employees, especially those working in the kitchen area, do not speak English (or much) so I can understand their more minimal communication. One of the workers is very personable, though I forget her name (I do remember she's from NYC though).

Please, Mon Paris, get it together! The recent reviews have me concerned, as do the hours and security issues!

I was so disappointed at the food in this place. All the pastries tasted old and should have not been put out for sale.
The cake tasted fresh but the icing had a bitter aftertaste. I’ll not be going back.
