My first time eating at this place… the lady was very helpful and nice … I ordered oxtails rice/beans and mac and cheese
Curry chicken rice/w beans and cabbage
I can say that the oxtail nice and tender but it was sweet and have a strong after smell… I didn’t like it very much.. the Mac and cheese… i think it should be re-evaluated it was very terrible.. my kids didn’t want to eat it.. the cabbage/rice/w beans and curry chicken was okay the curry chicken could use a little more seasoning …

This is more than just a restaurant. It is an experience. The food is top quality but that's not the best part. The owner is a man of the community and he cares deeply about the people he serves. Very kind compassionate gentleman. I hope this business continues to thrive for many many years to come.

Back to the food.... My wife is from Jamaica and is wildly picky with her food. This wonderful place is the only Jamaican food she will eat.

We will remain loyal customers forever!

Stopped by after looking for some Jamaican food- my boyfriend and I got the Oxtail with rice and cabbage with a couple drinks. This is THE BEST Jamaican spot in Fort Myers. It is the closest I’ve had to authentic Jamaican food in this area. The atmosphere was calm and friendly, very inviting. Service was quick- the food came out within 5 minutes. The meat was falling off of the bone, it was some of the best food i’ve had in a minute. I also got a mango passionfruit lemonade which was also AMAZING, it was very fresh and refreshing. Would 10/10 recommend this place to all, there is something for everyone to eat! Will be returning in the very near future!

First of all, the staff here often act like they have an attitude when you ask for extra gravy. It’s almost as if they’re afraid to actually put enough gravy on the rice. The food itself is really inconsistent—sometimes it’s decent, but other times it’s a complete miss. For example, one day the oxtails might be okay, but the next day they’re hard, burnt, or overly sweet to the point where it’s unpleasant.

The macaroni and cheese, honestly, is the worst I’ve ever had. It doesn’t taste homemade at all—it looks and tastes like boxed Kraft macaroni or even spaghetti with cheese sauce. I even had my whole family try it on different occasions, and nobody liked it. We gave this place multiple chances, but today was the last straw.

My hope is that this business takes this feedback as constructive criticism and makes some real improvements. Small things—like greeting customers when they walk in, being more generous with gravy, and serving consistent, good-quality food—would go a long way.

Alright IRIE, let’s talk about it. I paid $17.99 for a medium plate of oxtails, and I have to say, I’ve never in my life had oxtails that literally went deep driving into A BAG OF SUGAR. The cabbage was overcooked, the rice came straight out of the cooker with zero flavor, and the plate didn’t even come with plantains. Overall, the food was just not it, BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. SO NASTY.

This little spot in Fort Myers is great. Food was on point. They have a sign posted a d it reads. We are not a fast food restaurant food is cooked first to order so please be patient. I love that. So come in get some great food and enjoy the place

Just had an amazing meal at this Jamaican spot! The curry chicken came with cabbage slaw, beans and rice, and fried plantains so a complete, satisfying plate that could easily feed three people. The chicken was bursting with rich, authentic flavors, so tender and perfectly spiced, just like homemade. The cabbage slaw was fresh and crisp, offering a nice, tangy crunch that balanced the dish beautifully. And those fried plantains? Pure golden sweetness with the perfect caramelized edge. With portions this generous and prices this outstanding, it’s hands down one of the best deals for fresh, delicious Jamaican food. Definitely a must-try! I got a beef pasty on the way out to try and OHHHHHHHH PLEASE try those. Spicy deliciousness 😋 I work close by so will be back for sure! Yum!

We were visiting Fort Myers for the week and stumbled across this Jamaican restaurant and it turned out to be a good find! The service was warm and welcoming. The manager himself took our order, and he was not only friendly but also very helpful, which made the experience even better.

We ordered the jerk pork, rice and peas, mac and cheese, and a cup of red pea soup. Everything was hearty and satisfying if you’re craving island comfort food. That said, a few tweaks could take the flavors to the next level. The jerk pork would benefit from a low-and-slow cook to enhance tenderness and the red pea soup could use a little more seasoning to bring out the flavors.

Still, for the Fort Myers area, this was a great option. We are full and happy.
