If I could give this place a lower rating, I would. Fortunately, it's closing. I went there with my mother and daughter. The food was awful. They made a cocktail that was so bad that I sent it back, and then had the audacity to ask me why. We eventually ordered the an extremely dry cheesecake. When we were paying the bill with cash, I asked the smartass waiter to please bring back change. He brought back a 20 and a few ones. Fortunately, I had someplace the night before, and had other change that I could use for a tip. It was one of the worst dining experiences of my life.

Meatballs beyond amazing!!! Haven't had a bad meal yet. Desserts are mostly cakes and cannolis. Nothing astonishing. But the main meals are excellent!! Are they closed for good now or temporary? Are they doing take out?

The food here is sooooooo gooood!!! Had an amazing time with my full blooded Italian fiancé and her parents who raves about the "gravy and meatballs". Keep it coming we will be back!

Closed for the virus and now closed forever. You'll have to stick to building kitchens with corner Stone.

For those of us that live in the area, we know that this restaurant is owned by the same folks as Cornerstone Builders. And just about every day on almost every tv stations we hear patriarch Tony talking about substandard results in competitors projects that are "less than dreamy". So with that heritage, I was shocked and disappointed that our party of 6 was shoehorned into a booth that was so tight we were up against the table and touching each other's shoulders. Hey Tony---your booths and floor plan are less than dreamy! And they could not accommodate us anywhere else even though there appeared to be open places. Our server was not very friendly, perhaps because we asked for a better table. Don't know. I had to remind her twice that she forgot my beer and instead gave me water. Then she seemed annoyed when she finally delivered the NA beer without a glass and I asked for one. Another delay. So much for the venue and service. The food was very good. The eggplant parm I ordered was skinless tender and ample. The sauce (or gravy as my NJ friends called it) was tasty. The pasta was a little to al dente but I will take that over limp. The zuppa di pesce ordered by my friend was good but a little watery. The other dishes ordered were also good but somewhat unremarkable. The deserts were very good and they had a good selection. So overall, high marks for Mama Leopardi's family recipes. She knows how to cook Italian for sure (and every one of our party of 6 are of Italian decent). They still need to work on converting their builder talent to running a restaurant (more experienced restaurant management??). As a proud builder, they should be embarrassed at the booths and fix them. And, most of all, keep going because it is a good place that just may need more time to mature. We will be back.

I was apprehensive when I read the negative reviews but now I can honestly say that everything was fabulous. Great service. Delicious food. Large portions. And spend the extra $3 and opt for the lobster bisque. Believe me, it's as good as my husband's without the prep. I had a piece of lobster in every spoonful. So don't fear, definitely come and come hungry! And park as close as you can because the walk to your car on a full pasta belly was grueling.

We went for my mom's birthday and it was superb. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was real Italian, which is rare, and while not the fastest to the table the wait was worth every mouthwatering morsel.

We ate here a month ago and the food was absolutely fantastic. Our waitstaff were helpful. Our waiter brought us delicious bread with dipping choices. Everything came to us at a perfect pace and the restaurant was full. It would be best to make a reservation however we did not have a reservation and we're told it would be 45 minutes to an hour. We waited and were so happy we did. We got a table within 30 minutes and the wait was well worth it. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Was the best Italian restaurant experience my fiance and I have had so far here in SWFL. Service was very pleasant and the food was served in a timely matter. The meal was top notch with nice portion sizes. The ambience was welcoming and informally elegant. The desserts are beautiful and decadent as well. Over all this was an excellent experience and would highly recommend for date night, because the dishes aren't too pricey.

Love this place. Michael the bar tender is awesome on the upper deck! He knows his stuff! Amazing meatball appetizer. In the afternoon if you have the garlic knots are great. We went back for dinner and enjoyed everything.

Went here on two occasions and was excited to go. Good food just not what everyone hyped it up to be. Fries were sooo good! Calamari was so chewy I almost choked on it so if you have children who easily choke, watch closely with the calamari. Chicken parm was not the best I've had, just okay. I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of three because they have a lot of gluten free options and I respect an establishment that caters to an array of people. The staff was also super nice! If I could rate the staff alone it would be a 5-star review!

Just left Leopardi's. 2/22/20, 8:05 pm. We are VIP members. Joined the first time we ate there as the food was very authentic (we're both Italian). However, it was extremely loud, as they have a cement floor and all hard surfaces. They said at the time that they were "working on it." That was not long after they opened. Well, NOTHING has been done about the noise. IT WAS HORRIBLE TONIGHT!! There was a group of 4 or 5 couples around the corner from us. The men were SO LOUD that other tables were looking over at them. Our server, Brittany (who was wonderful!) relayed our concern to a mgr, but nothing changed. At one point another mgr came by asking about our meal. Told her the food and service was great, but the extreme noise level, especially with the loud table by us, was enough to keep us from coming back. They still did nothing about the obnoxiously loud group. My elderly mother had to turn her hearing aids way down, and I stuck pieces of my paper napkin in my ears! My husband just gritted his teeth. He almost went over to the other table himself, but didn't want to cause a scene. The restaurant is big enough -- maybe large, noisy groups should all be seated in one room, AWAY from couples and 4 tops.

Overall good experience. The staff was very accommodating. The food was good but not exceptional. It seems like a great place for large gatherings.
