Liberty - Alternative American Restaurant

Probably the only local restaurant i get excited to go to now adays. The food is great, every dish is a work of art. I always leave inspired and wanting to go home and get creative in my own kitchen.

10/10 would recommend!

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Liberty, and it’s the kind of experience that sticks with you long after the last bite. Chef Boye’s technique is nothing short of masterful—there’s a confidence in his cooking that shows not only in the precision of execution but in the creativity behind each dish.

The agnolotti was the kind of plate that makes you pause mid-conversation—pillowy pasta, perfectly balanced filling, and a sauce that tied everything together like it had been waiting its whole life for that moment. The steak tartar was bold yet refined, with layers of flavor that showed both restraint and risk-taking in just the right measure. And the Parisian gnocchi? Light as air, kissed with just enough richness to remind you that indulgence is a beautiful thing when done well.

What stood out most, though, was how personal the food felt. Each dish carried a sense of inspiration, like Chef Boye wasn’t just cooking for us, but sharing a part of his story with us. Dining at Liberty felt less like eating at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s craft, their art, their passion.

I’ll be back—no question about it.

We made our first trip to Liberty last night, and let’s just say, it lived up to the hype. We walked in early without a reservation, and lucked out with a couple of seats at the bar. From the moment we sat down, the service was dialed in - welcoming, attentive, and totally on point.

As for the food? On par with Michelin-star quality. The gnocchi, tacos and the cod were all beautifully executed.

A seriously impressive first experience—we’ll be back for more.

Liberty American Bistro is truly a hidden gem in Fort Myers! This quaint little spot may have minimal seating, but that just adds to its charm. The service is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. And the food? Absolutely out of this world. Every bite is flavorful and clearly made with care. If you're looking for a cozy, elevated dining experience, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to go back!

My go-to restaurant for date night. They update the menu periodically so you never get bored with the same thing. Everything I’ve ever ordered was delicious. No complaints.

Worth every bit of hype!!! Such a fun and unique athmosphere, hostesses are sooo sweet and fun! The food was STELLAR. Carrot cake goes insane and the lamb pasta was insanely good flavor and texture!!!! Gnocchi was so so so good and flavorful!!! Amazing experience!

This place is honestly a hidden gem. It doesn’t look super fancy when you walk in—kinda small and low-key—but don’t let that fool you. The food is insane. Everything is tapas-style, so smaller portions, but every single dish was packed with flavor and just really well done. Felt like something you’d get at one of those fancy Michelin star places, but without the crazy prices. The service was super friendly too, really personal touch. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Fort Myers. If you’re into great food that’s way better than what they charge for it, you def gotta check this place out.

Liberty was our very best restaurant experience in Ft Myers. The small plates were truly small and not supersized like many tapas-oriented places today. The wine list was interesting; the food absolutely perfect. The vibe is very casual. The menu changes often but I recommend the gnocchi and the bulgogi tacos - but everything thing was unique and delicious. So happy to have found this gem!

This little restaurant is beyond a five star restaurant. I wish I could leave more stars! The staff is absolutely amazing. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurants in Dubai and they do not even compare to the quality of food here. I didn’t even want to leave a review because I want this place to stay a hidden gem!

Arguably the best restaurant in SWFL. Sat at the bar ( Table 12 ) and was blown away with the entire experience. Felt like a 1-2 star Michelin tasting menu without the pretense.
