NOT DOG FRIENDLY** NOT DOG FRIENDLY**NOT DOG FRIENDLY IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I have lived in Fort myers for almost 30 years and enjoyed this restaurant many times. Today, the hostess and the manager ruined a perfectly happy lunch with my dog (a standard poodle.) They advertise "dog friendly" WHAT A JOKE. My standard poodle and I were sitting quitely awaiting our order. A gentleman and his wife walked by with their barking dog and mentioned what a well behaved dog I have. The hostess (short grey hair NAZI) approached my table and put down a piece of paper that listed all of the "actions that were not acceptable for dogs" in front of me - then walked away. We had not received our food. My dogs head as he sits is 6" above the table. I keep him tightly teathered to my side respecting servers and fellow dining space. As he turns around, his head touches the table. I have a standard poodle. He does NOT bark, eat off the table, sit on a chair or on my lap, or disrupt other tables as their "pamphlet rules state". He is very well trained and well mannered and in fact- we were complimented just 2 weeks prior when we were there on how well behaved he was when we ate there last. In addition to the Hostess Nazi Pooch Patrol ignoring the small barking dog sitting next to us, she sends out the manager to tell me my dog must lay down at all times. WTF???? There are kids running around like wild indians making a comotion disrupting other diners and she says that my perfectly well behaved dog has to lay down (he was sitting)? I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Again they are NOT PET FRIENDLY, and I will never be getting foot at this establishment again. OH and DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT bringing a drink or mug of your own of any kind; the same Hostess Nazi has another rule breaker "city of FMY" ordinance about bringing in your own beverages and containers. I'm sure they also have "ordinances" for short people, fat people and people with brown hair. SIMPLY INCOMPREHENSIBLE AND UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! SORRY MCGREGOR CAFE, YOU WILL NOT EVER BE ON MY LIST OF THINGS TO DO, PLACES TO GO, OR PEOPLE TO SEE NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE, INFACT, QUITE THE OPPOSITE. JUST RUDE, RUDE, RUDE.
Holly is awesome. Food’s great. Strawberries perfect and plentiful on my cakes. The patio is ideal and the enclosure is pure Florida
The restaurant feels both modern and welcoming.

The food is great as usual. We've come to lunch or brunch here a few times. Large portions. The quiche never fails us. I like how crunchy their house made potato chips are, although sometimes they taste slightly over done. It's still a hot outside, but their patio seating is a nice environment. I've never sat inside so I can't comment on that. With that said, service can be courteous but seem curt.

We sat outside 9:30 and it was very comfortable. The food was 10/10. The quality of the food was obviously top notch as well as the preparation. The outdoor seating had fans and was set under a giant LiveOak. Great staff and the coffee was excellent.

What a quaint place. It would be easy to miss if you weren't looking for it as it is located in an older home in an old neighborhood in Ft Myers. Nice menu choices with daily specials available. Prices are reasonable and staff is very efficient. My husband's choice of the Philly cheesecake was a great one ad I had a "Wild Thing" sandwich with roast beef popping out of the very tasty croissants with just a few added ingredients. The homemade chips are great with no greasy taste at all. Nice outdoor seating in a beautiful garden setting that seemed to be as popular as the indoor seating. Outdoor area is also dog friendly and they bring your pup a bowl of water but don't let your dog in the bushes and they need to stay away from the table top- a warning they gave us when we sat down with our pup. Nice breeze as we ate our meal.

Delicious quiche, sweet tea, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and house-made hash. The service was fantastic and efficient.
Best place in town for breakfast and lunch. Don’t be scared by a wait the turnovers are fast. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. It is my go to place for lox and bagel for breakfast. The best in town.
Service was slow but overall food was good. Very small most of the seating was outside. Food was wonderful and so fresh, it was obvious that everything was made from scratch.
From its lovely cozy patio, to the wonderful breakfast items to the awesome service, this place rocks and is certainly worth a try! . It really can’t get any better. Quality, presentation, setting , top shelf service and all at a very fair price . I would like to give a special shout out to my server, Michelle . So friendly, proficient and professional. Even though it was very busy she moves briskly without looking like it. Give it a chance , I know I will be back ! Dan from San Diego
Friends and I eat here often. One Sunday a month we gather to enjoy a few games of Rummikub, eat great food & driinks. Service is quick and hard working. Truly a place were everyone knows your name.
