Very popular. Inside and outside dining.

We arrived at The Veranda and were automatically in love with the setting, from the Old Florida feel to the pianist, we knew from that moment that it was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary dinner. Here's the run down: The bread is a tad sweet but it's deliciousThe corn bread is possibly one of the best I have ever tried. My husband agrees.I had the house salad that comes with tomatoes, leafy greens, hearts of palm and a choice of dressing. I chose the blue cheese dressing that was delicious and did not overpower the salad. We ordered the ribeye which was the special of the day that came with mashed potatoes and broccolini and the salmon that comes with rice and asparagus.I absolutely loved the ribeye but my husband thought the salmon was a bit too sweet but still super tasty. For desert we shared the peanut butter fudge pie and seriously, that was to die for. You cannot go wrong with that! Rob, our server, was beyond fantastic. He was pleasant , attentive and had a great sense of humor. Overall, it was a fantastic anniversary dinner and I would go back any day.

All around excellent. The food was delicious, the place is dark and comfortable with a great bar. And the service? - an example - coffee and dessert showed up the same time, which is a rarity in my experience. I will return.

If you're looking for an exquisite dining experience in Fort Myers, look no further! This restaurant not only serves delicious food, but has a very charming and unique atmosphere. The service was one-of-a-kind, thanks to our server Ramsay! You will not be disappointed when you indulge in a meal at the Veranda! Easily one of the best restaurants in the Fort Myers area!

My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner. The food and ambiance were amazing. Our server Pete was fantastic and gave us great food and wine recommendations!! A shout out to Willie who made sure I received an anniversary rose and photo. We will be back!

I wanted to love this place so much but unfortunately I didn't. I didn't love really anything until the end. What's not to love when you think about a lovely dinner in a charming historic home, as I saw in the photos for The Veranda? When you walk in the first thing you notice is the damp, musty smell of the building. Once we were seated we quickly realized we were seated right on top of another table who even commented and had their server pick their table up in the middle of dinner and move it away from our table. We were so overwhelmed by how hot and stuffy it was that we asked to be seated outside, the hostess promptly set a table up outside and we were very grateful for that. The ambiance outside was delightful with a cute pond and a Christmas tree for the holiday season; it was much better than what we saw inside. I ordered the lobster bisque, the honey glazed salmon, and the crème brûlée. The lobster bisque was flavorless with no noticeable pieces of lobster in it at all. The only thing you tasted was cream without an ounce of seasoning; was an unbelievable let down. With your meals you'll receive a bread basket with cornbread, what looked like pumpernickel, butter, and a pepper jam. The cornbread was fantastic but the bread was dense and under baked; more air was needed and a longer rise. Moving onto our mains, and the salmon filet. As you can see from the photos the first thing we noticed was the butter pouring off of the fish and again a complete lack of seasoning with the rice being the only thing well seasoned I ate during my entire meal. My green beans were "selectively" trimmed which made zero sense and the carrot was clearly cooked for the same amount of time as the green beans so it was very undercooked; almost raw. They say to save the best for last and that's exactly what happened with dessert. We had the crème brûlée and it was like eating from a completely different restaurant. Our server said that the gentleman who makes the desserts only makes the desserts and has been for 20 years. If only he made dinner too. The brûlée was silky and not overcooked with fresh fruit, fresh cream, and a tangy raspberry puree which was a delightful relief from the sweetness. It. Was. Delicious. I landed on a 3-star review solely because of the service our server Ramsay gave us and the dessert, in reality this is a 2-star experience for me. If you are going to have a $200 bill for two people I expect more than good plate composition, I need amazing flavors too. I would completely avoid eating dinner here, go have a nice dinner somewhere else but swing by after for a cocktail and an amazing dessert; you will leave a lot more satisfied than I did.

Main course and house salad very good, but appetizers disappointing. The lobster bisque was bland and very little lobster evident. The crab cakes were also a little bland and no lump crabmeat. Texture felt like they used canned crab.

Wonderful dinner. Everything from the wines to the escargot to the blue crab appetizer to the filet to the salad and cheesecake dessert. Think I'd have preferred the escargot in the traditional strong garlic sauce and not so much the blue cheese. Good service. Noise levels a tad high. Had to park nearby on the street. Free.

Been going to Veranda since 2019. Had a 5:30 PM reservation. Seated immediately & was ignored for 28 minutes while staff continuously passed by. Not even a greeting , acknowledgement that we were there or a drink order taken. Will never return, other restaurants appreciate our business.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. It’s old Fort Myers at its peak! Ramzi was awesome! Classic table side ceasar salad and bananas foster! ?

The Veranda has great ambience for that special night out. The service and food are top drawer. We celebrated a birthday with family and all enjoyed their meals. You are never rushed so you can take the time to enjoy the evening with friends, family and delicious food.

The Veranda is a timeless classic for great food and exceptional service in a charming setting. We ate here for a girls’ night out and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience - from the personalized Caesar salad experience expertly crafted by the best server at Veranda (Vanessa) to the extra touches of warm corn bread muffins with pepper jelly and a view of the enchanting courtyard strung with lights. Best night out in a long time!

I am sorry that I selected this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. My husband had told them it was my birthday and they did acknowledge it when we checked in. However, they then proceeded to seat us where our view included serving platters, coffee machines and staff coming in and out of the kitchen. At no time did Pete, our waiter, acknowledge my special day. In fact, as soon as our cocktails were served, he asked if we wanted to order and I felt our service was very rushed from there. My husband ordered the scallops and received three quarter-size items on rice for $43. My two $16 crab cakes tasted mainly of breadcrumbs. I will say that my lobster bisque was good and our salads were fresh and tasty. No complementary sweet topped off our meal or any well wishes - just a check. If you are celebrating a special event, this clearly is not the place to enjoy it. And it’s a shame this long-standing lovely place has evolved to such high prices and poor service.
