Pecan cinnamon french toast was overdone, the nuts hard, with too much nutmeg and no cinnamon. We were very disappointed as the food is usually good. The omelet was also overcooked.

I have been here before and have had good experiences, but today I met up with a friend I haven’t seen in forever who I won’t see for a while. Our server Maria rushed us to order food and drinks almost before our third guest even got there. Our food orders were wrong because they were taken so quickly and halfway through eating we were asked to give our plates if we were done. Our checks were brought to us within 30 minutes of sitting down and we weren’t ready to cash out or leave. I love this place and our server was very sweet, I just wish we were not so rushed.

Sub par food at best. Sour waffles, stingy with the whipped cream. Weird potatoes, non attentive service. Not welcoming, frantic atmosphere. Noticed a couple of times staff did not stop to allow guests to walk by. I'll stick with first watch. It's soooo much better!

Overall the experience was great.
Dined there twice while staying in the area.
One day was take out the other day onsite and enjoyed the great atmosphere.
Overall a great experience When we dined on site little disappointed that the food was not warm enough and expected that they were actually be skillets , similar to what I experienced in the Pennsylvania breakfast a skillet places but that's on me I didn't realize that.

It was late morning so it was after the rush time So just a tiny bit disappointed that our food came out lukewarm not piping hot but 4 out of 5 stars

Amongst everything else our waiter couldn’t figure out how to do. The craziest one was he brought us a refill, I drank like half of my drink before seeing red lipstick on the side, because he brought me someone else’s refill!!!!! This is wild because what if they have a disease or something. That’s crazyyy unprofessional I’m still in shock as to how bad this experience was. I asked for a half and half tea and he brought me half black tea and sweet tea???????? Who tf drinks that??? Never going back here again.

Today I went to a job interview at Skillets, I was very enthusiastic because they had spoken very well about that place. The truth is, the manager was totally disappointed, a total lack of ethics and education. The truth is, I don't know who put her in charge of seeing potential employees. I was waiting for more than half an hour and they sent a messenger to tell me not to waste any more time because they had already hired someone. He didn't show his face. There are several correct and ethical ways to tell someone that they are not going to hire you. The truth is, I don't recommend going. to that place to work if your manager is Totally rude, I mean Terry Wilson, I'm just letting off steam, I'm glad they didn't hire me, I imagine what it must be like to be under his orders.

Worst breakfast ever! My daughter wanted a chocolate chip waffle, paid the extra money, no choc chips. Bacon was black and not edible. My grits were the most disappointing thing because i paid $7 for a cup of water i dumped down the drain. Gave me a slice of bread not even cut through as my side of toast. 40.00 on breakfast for my daughter and I that was wasted and Im way too busy to take it back with family coming into town. Im in the industry and I’d never let food go out of the kitchen the way that it did. Potatoes were the only thing that we ate and had to split a small side so we both weren’t without food.

Skillets is a staple in SWFL and this location did not disappoint. The menu is extensive with countless options. However, I stuck to the sunrise eggs Benedict and a waffle sampler which were both nice twists to classic breakfast dishes. If you’re looking for a classic breakfast restaurant that’s cozy, local and inviting with incredible food, look no further than Skillets.

We visited on a Sunday, late morning. The restaurant was half full and we asked to sit outside. Hostess brought us to a table. There were a few tables outside that were occupied. I ordered coffee and my wife tea. No cups were delivered with the carafes. No sugar, milk , spoons, forks, knives etc. Food arrived...no condiments, salt, pepper nada. Sat for 5 minutes after finishing and our server was AWOL. Other servers choose not to notice us. I walked up to the front desk and paid for the meal. Overall, decent food but not decent enough to cover really poor and seemingly uncaring service. So many other options...will not return to this one
