I gave the atmosphere 5* because that's part of what I love about this place. This is a place to eat great, fresh seafood and not care about a fancy atmosphere. And the atmosphere reminds you why you're there.
Service is totally on it and exactly what you want - informative, capture exactly what each person wants, and it's patient when those at your table are confused and unclear.
The food is why you came here, and it is indeed exactly what you hoped for. Perfectly prepared, fresh, and seasoned how it should be.
My only issue is that this place isn't closer to our home.

I was born in fort Myers this is always been the go-to place for seafood. I haven't been here for about 10 years and I can tell you is absolutely not the same place. It was $30 for a sandwich and when we got it tastes like the oil hadn't been changed in a week. I so wish I could say I love this place but after this trip I probably will never go back.

Low rating due to bill. Not sure if it is legal to charge more for using a credit card at the time of receiving the bill. The menu price refects cash payment. No where on menu or posted in the restaurant does it mention a credit card fee. I believe the legal way is to either state upfront there's an extra credit card fee or use credit card prices on the menu and offer a discount for cash.

Food is great. People are friendly. We were there with a party of 13. One check. There is a check difference of of $30 because we paid with credit card. (Our bill was over $550) Days later I checked my Credit card statement and was charged a higher amount, by $5.xx. I did call the restaurant and the person answering did get it corrected.

We had a gift card, so we tried it. Bill comes and server says, oh, this is an old gift card. I'll have to call it it in. Comes back and says she couldn't verify the card. We had to pay cash. She said you can gift the number on the card a call and see if you can straighten it out. We will not be calling. Food, service and atmosphere wasn't great.

Old fashioned fish house in an old building. Everybody is friendly and welcoming. The food was prepared right. Fresh shrimp and fish caught on their own boats. I had oysters and frog legs as appetizers then triple tail as my main. Also, great coleslaw.

On previous visits the seafood was good. Today I ordered crab cakes. They were perhaps the worst crab cakes I have ever eaten. Do not order crab cakes here! My sides were a side salad and and potato salad and they were very good.
Clam chowder is best ever. Coconut shrimp outstanding!

I sold seafood for 8-9 years under a captain with 40 plus years as a commercial fisherman This place reminds me of those wonderful years there working for him The seafood is FRESH the clams strips are cooked perfectly and the shrimp taste like it was alive this morning Great service too
