We went to the market to find fresh fish to cook for Easter dinner. The young man showed us the fresh-caught tile fish he had just filleted. The woman working in the market was very friendly and helpful. The fish turned out amazing! We were so glad we bought here. "Atmosphere" was a tough thing to rate, as it's nothing fancy. I decided to rate it 5-star, because it's exactly what I would expect for a fish market. We did not check out the restaurant side, but we will. Thank you for your service and cooking tips!

Food was delicious! We enjoyed this after a day out around town. Our kids loved the fried shrimp. My husband and I split the seafood combo. Scallops were amazing!

We have eaten here probably 6x/year (every time we are in town) for 20 years or so and always loved it. This trip started with floaters in our drinks...apparently soap residue do they were replaced with styrofoam cups. This trip my son and husband both ordered blackened grouper the fish and it was 1/2 the size it used to be and overcooked. At first we just thought it was tiny servings and rather than making it a big deal I just ordered them another piece bc we knew it wasn't enough. Then we found out it was overcooked (so bad we first thought it wasn't grouper or was a bad fish but it had white curdling, you could see the very solid white on the edges too and no flavor) which was so bad they couldn't eat it -the replacement fish was the same way (even though they told the cook it was overcooked) and it was only partially comped bc I guess we ate the sides? Also they never actually made my son a replacement fish I guess bc he's 14 so they didn't think he counts? The kid loves blackened fish. The manager said the replacement fish was big enough for them to share but it was just one small piece for him to share with his dad. But, like I said, they couldn't eat that one either. They are a few bites of each and sent back nearly all of it bc it was bad. The fried shrimp was great but it's not difficult to make fried foods...it's the grilled that matters. We eat here all the time so we've had good fish and we eat other local seafood restaurants-regardless we won't be back here now which is sad. Instead we went back to The Fish House and Pinchers which both made great blackened grouper. We love supporting small business but just wasn't worth the wasted money if it happens again...maybe if they got it right the second time or cared enough it might have mattered. It's rare we send food back...I can't recall the last time anywhere....must be 5+ years.

The food was underwhelming at best, and for $16/person. Odd fish batter. Frozen fries. Coleslaw was decent. Wouldn’t go again.

Had to wait 15 minutes for table as it was busy. Once seated got drink and salad quickly then waited 45 minutes for a meal. Wasn't that great and not very hot. Had blackened and all black fell off the fish. Not impressed.
The trademark seafood place in Ft Myers always delivers.

For us, Skip One is always spot on. We love the "old" market atmosphere and the food is exceptional. Servers go beyond to make sure everything is okay.
