We dropped by this local bagel spot and were glad to find them baking on-site. The ordering process was a bit confusing since we weren’t sure where to pay, but once we figured it out, we got our bagels. The Nova sandwich was good, though I’m from Jersey, so I’m picky. It wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t bad either. If you’re nearby and want to skip the chains, it’s worth a try. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way, but it’s a decent local stop.

The Bagel Factory at 8841 College Parkway just west of Riverwalk.
It's been here in Fort Myers forever and a day, since 1995. It's a family-owned store-bakery. Mixing up fresh dough daily, forming, proofing, boiling, and baking in countless flavors of hand-made bagels. Always selling out daily, so you know they are fresh and not loaded with gobs of preservatives. Top your favorite with whatever type of regular, low fat or flavored cream cheese topping or whatever your taste buds desire.

Have a favorite concoction you love? Tell them, they aim to please. My son loves to make his into a bagel sandwich. My hubby likes his toasted with regular cream cheese. I am always happy with mine. A poppy seed bagel toasted with thin coat of cream cheese, topped with sliced tomatoes, then crispy bacon topped with provolone cheese then melted until bubbly. Mmmmm!

My boyfriend and I visit the Bagel Factory almost every weekend after we take our dogs to the park. The bagels are awesome, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I run a lot of the local 5k races and am always happy to see bagels from the bagel factory at the finish line. They are a great asset to our community and I recommend them to everyone who will listen.

Great bagels and service! Went on a Sunday morning around 7:40, there were a few people in the store and only a short wait.

Great place, friendly and helpful staff and very clean. I've been here twice and always had a good experience. The bagels are always fresh, the cream cheese are always delicious and the Nova (Lox) bagel (open face) is phenomenal. Definitely recommend this place for a good meal and reasonably priced.

The owner of the Bagel Factory was extremely generous to my wife and I. We live in Naples and just have not found the perfect bagel for us. We heard about the Bagel Factory and thought we would give it a try when we were in Ft Myers. Unfortunately we got to the store 25 minutes after they closed. The owner was in the parking lot and noticed us trying to open the door. He explained they are closed. We explained why we were here and we heard about his bagels and really wanted to try them. He unlocked the door went inside and came out with a bag of 24 bagels of all different types. We offered to pay but he refused payment. He explained that they baked fresh bagels every day and what’s left over at the end of the day is given to a food pantry. We offered to give him cash to donate to the food pantry and he told us to make the donation ourselves. We are grateful for his kindness. THE BAGELS ARE DELICIOUS! We will be stopping by regularly to get our bagel fix when we visit our son in Ft
Myers.

OMG, best authentic bagels I have eaten in a long while. The ladies working behind the counter were efficient, took your order, prepared it and served you. My husband tried their Rosemary olive oil bagel lightly toasted w/ cream cheese. My sister tried their bialy bagel w/butter and I had the jalapeno cheese bagel with a scoop of chicken salad. The bagel factory should think about franchising. The place was steady busy.

The gentleman that commented on transferring DEBIT card surcharges off to consumers is correct. It is illegal as
shown in the picture. All other credit card fees are understood and if the business decides to charge a fee then the consumer can decide if he/she wishes to take their business elsewhere.

Great bagels but they appear to be violating federal law charging a fee for using a debit card.
