The Standard Restaurant Downtown

As the father of the bride, I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at The Standard in Downtown Fort Myers. We hosted our daughter’s wedding dinner there, and from start to finish, it was absolute perfection. What truly set this experience apart was the personal attention we received from the owner, Chris. He treated our family and guests as if we were his own. From the initial planning stages to the very last toast, Chris was hands-on, thoughtful, and incredibly accommodating. He made us feel like we were the most important event of the year — and that meant the world to us. The food was exceptional — every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Our group of 25 was served efficiently and graciously, with not a single detail overlooked. The ambiance was just right for a joyful, elegant celebration, and the entire staff was warm, professional, and attentive. Thanks to Chris and his amazing team, we were able to fully relax and enjoy the evening. The Standard helped create memories we’ll cherish forever, and we are so grateful. If you are planning a special event, look no further — The Standard is simply outstanding.

Not very impressed. Food and drinks sounded great but were sub-par. The person that brought us our waters slammed them on the table.. we said “thank you” and he didn’t reply and walked away. The large table that sat after us was greeted first- and they were served first. We waited about an hour for food and it wasn’t busy (maybe short staffed?). Restrooms were not clean and very outdated. Our waiter was friendly- about the only positive thing. Overall very disappointed- was hoping to find a gem of a brunch spot. I don’t recommend coming here, unfortunately.

Bartender was very rude chatting with friends. I stood in hostess area for over 5 mins and even when I sat at the bar he completely ignored me so I left feeling highly disrespected

Our serve Tim was the best server in the whole Dt Fort Myers area. On top of a great quality meal he made us laugh and was a hoot of a time

The staff was very polite, but besides that nothing else was impressive .
We ordered some things and a shrimp basket . As you can see in the picture, the shrimp basket contains six shrimp.

Sarah H. was our server and she was the best server I’ve had in such a long time! She kept our drinks full, our vibes good, and our food hot. Tim was awesome too and kept checking in to make sure everything was all good. Absolutely great experience here!
