Everything was outstanding and the food was very good. The escargot was excellent as was the lobster bisque. The house salads and dressing were also excellent. Cocktails, including my martini were top shelf. My wife's sea bass and my ribeye steak were not excellent, but very good. Ambience was as always, quite nice. Our server was very friendly, polite, and informative. Tab including gratuity was a little over $300 which was good value for the spend, in our opinion.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary in July of 25. Everything from beginning to end was great. We sat at the bar waiting for our table and service was great. From our appetizers to our dessert food was great.

Food was over priced for portion sizes. My filet was sent back as medium rare came out as medium well. They did re-fire & comped a desert for the troubles. Sea Bass was small & a little on the dry side, over cooked. Did not send back as my wife did not say anything until later.

Good food and drinks. Noise was just fine. My tuna was a bit overcooked, but I still enjoyed it

Great ambiance, great service, food was good, but pricey, and a little overcooked on both ribeye and filet. Nice presentation.

Received a gift card from friends and so glad they chose this great restaurant. Top notch restaurant and will come back again.

Our 35th wedding anniversary...it was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter, JD was great. Took great care of us...perfect amount of attentiveness. Yes it isn't inexpensive, however if you want a special night where you are served by waiters in tuxedos and are not rushed, are served delicious food from appetizer to desert, then go here. It's not just a dinner, it's an experience.

The service and food were excellent. A bit of a disappointed that some of the diners choose to dress in shorts and flip flops. This is not that type of establishment.

As usual with The Veranda, excellently prepared food, fabulous old-school service, charming and intimate atmosphere—a bit of serenity and quiet escape.

I recently dined here for my anniversary with my wife. The service was phenomenal and the ambience was vintage. The cornbread rolls were the best we have ever had. However, both of our main dishes were very average, especially for the high price. I ordered the filet mignon which was dry and my wife ordered a sampler which had two small pieces of fish, two shrimp, and only two scallops. The fish was dry and the shrimp were nothing to rave about. The scallops were delicious though! We also had two appetizers, the lobster bisque and the crab cakes. The bisque was quite good but the crab cakes had a mustard based sauce which overwhelmed the crab. Overall, a great atmosphere and staff - but average food.

Great place for a special event. Excellent service, food was delicious with beautiful presentation. Historic building and the way tables are arranged allows for private conversations. Beautiful courtyard for cooler nights. We had the Chateaubriand which is finished table side. Definitely bring your wallet, but enjoy a special meal for an exquisite night out.

We went for our anniversary, it's a little more expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Waiter was very nice, food very good, we had the southern sample and the grouper special. The very best is the Cesar salad, your waiter prepares it at the table and it's the best Cesar I've ever had.
