Verandah was an exceptional dining choice to celebrate our friends' 22nd wedding anniversary. Perfect from start to finish!
Our wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious as well as beautifully presented. It did not disappoint. Our guests are foodies and were thrilled with our choice of restaurant.
Wonderful atmosphere- intimate and classy. Professional service. Superb menu choices and all executed perfectly. Best we've had in Ft Myers
We enjoyed delicious mocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. Veal piccata was superb, as was the snapper! I would love to see Pompano on the menu! And the piano bar is charming!
To be clear: We love The Veranda, it's charming atmosphere, the bar etc. and have been there a couple of times. But this time, our experience was not good at all: The restaurant was obviously completely overbooked. Despite our early reservation/confirmation and being on time, we had to wait 30 min to get seated. No apologies. Nothing. We had to stand in the entrance area and wait. For a restaurant at this price level you would hope someone would explain you the situation, apologize and (may be) offer you something to drink during your waiting time. Instead, we were told from the beginning our table would be 'on the way to be set up' and we were standing there and waiting. As we had guests, this was a very unpleasant experience. Finally - although we had booked 'main dining area' we were seated in a little overflow veranda-like room - clearly improvised. Sorry - I have been giving excellent reviews in the past - but this time I have no choice: This is unacceptable and the experience this evening was unpleasant. The way the situation was handled was definitely not up to the standard you should expect from a restaurant like this.
Everything from walking in the door to our drinks, food and service was impeccable! Mike is the best server. . You made my belated birthday celebration one to remember always. We will be back for my hubby's birthday in April. You are our favorite restaurant for fine dining in SW FL. Mary Agnes and Dave Stout
While this place is amazing and dinner was good , their bartender that evening before dinner was incredibly rude and dismissive. Enough to make you not want to come back.
Everything was fabulous. Our server, Mike, made the BEST table side Caesar salad and was most attentive. We will return.
Incredible! loved being seated in the piano area. Gorgeous dinner, beautiful ambience. Took a stroll through the outside veranda area. Will definitely try that next time just for something new. 10 stars
First let me say the Veranda has always been our spot--- but the dinner last night was not great--I ordered the Steak Medalions Oscar..potatoes were heavily peppered that actually made my mouth on fire--it was 2 small steak medalions--over cooked asparagus--and the sauce on the crab over steak was dry and had been sitting under the heat lamp too long-- I had an espresso martini to start-- that was great--and a glass of house cab with dinner. The server was dry and very little personality--actually we had him on the previous visit 3 weeks ago...not happy to see him again but it is what it is---my bill was 195.80$ and i left a 40$ tip--not because service was on point--it was basic--but the food did not do it! I have never written a review for any restaurant--but i guess for that kind of money--I would like to report back.

Very good restaurant but did not like the fact that they would not take a Mastercard gift card for part of the bill.
This was the best restaurant we have been to in the area. The food was exceptional and the service and ambiance was superb. We would highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. We will be back soon!
Fabulous. Everyone had a different meal and all were excellent. My steak was done perfectly. Oysters Rockefeller apps were superb. Worth the drive from Bonita.
The food was very tasty but portions are small. Service was excellent. We sat out in the courtyard which was very nice. I understand the homes were built in 1902. When we first walked in, my son's first comment was, this place smells like an old folks home. I was thankful we sat outside. Not sure what, if anything can be done about the smell inside.
Great ambience. Service was quite good. Food very well prepared and presented. Prices for what we had are quite high.
