Stopped by this amazing place today. Ordered the chicken wing dinner. Comes with 2 sides i had the Mac and cheese and baked beans. First off the whole chicken wings were fried fresh for my order and had a wonderful flavor superb crisp and were piping hot. The Mac and cheese was creamy cheese baked and steam bellowed out of them as. Baked beans were cooked perfectly and had a sweet tangy taste with great balance. Food was top notch and I look forward to trying other foods from here. Today they have smothered pork chops and fried catfish as well.

The porkchops were so perfectly and the Mac and cheese and Potato salad is recommended!!!

Mac n cheese is unbelievable.
One dude ate his entire plate in one sitting even after having pizza earlier Imfao everybody is beyond impressed with their first time having your food and definitely gunna get again!!!

I purchased food here for the first time. The Southern Catfish w/ eggs & grits. The pictures are deceiving as what I received is not what was posted. The eggs were hard. The grits were thick. The supposed Catfish, were like Catfish bites( end pieces)or nuggets if you will. Furthermore,they were salty, dry & hard. It wasn't what I ordered, according to the pictures posted on site. Disappointing as I was looking forward to it.

I always enjoy coming here to eat. The service is great. They treat you as if you are a guest in their own home coming for a delicious soulful Sunday dinner. The catfish is always my favorite. But I have never been to NuNus and NOT had a memorable meal.

Mannnn listen Idk which place is which but this place and strictly soul food had the same address on door dash……. I was in town on my reset at the truck stop and needed a good soul food fix…… And let me tell you this place was on point ……. Food seasoned to perfection. Door dash delivered it hot… so if any of my fellow drivers are in town and you park at the Flying J or loves this is the spot to order

Called and spoke to Patricia.. so polite and understanding.. they have a combination platter 3 meats 2 veggies. I had to try the Oxtails Catfish and Meatloaf.. and it was banging! 2 sides we got Green beans, Mac & Cheese... Everything was good.. my only complaint is I should have ordered 2.. Mark as a favorite on Facebook.. looking forward to going back the weekend for those BBQ Ribs!!

Stay away! The bait and switch is crazy. “Jumbo lemon catfish” but I got catfish nuggets. This is NOT a $25 plate. Then nobody decided to answer the phone.

This place was by far the best soul resturant I have ever had, the service was great and the food was spectacular. I got the turkey wing platter with candied sweets, greens and a piece of corn bread!!! Everything was good I will be coming back to visit! This place gets 10,000 stars from me! Who ever the Chef please keep up the good work! Great job!!!

Man this ain’t no soul food and I’m unsure if the person posting the pics are family and they make sure to fix the right plate for the right pics cause the food HAS NO FLAVOR and the damn meatloaf was not brown sugar anything!! The collards was cuz and boiled they forgot seasoning , the rice was watery and slightly crunchy like it was served without being fully cooked, the baked bean taste like cinnamon only NO SUGAR the entire experience was horrible!

How they served lemonade that don’t taste like lemonade? $30 something dollars a waste ! Hopefully the homeless man I gave it to enjoyed it tho. Cause I didn’t and couldn’t finish it. Grabbed me a taco and kept it pushing ! DONT FALL FOR THE HYPE

UPDATE: As you can see I recently left an excellent review for them when my partner and I came last Sunday. I had been thinking about those smothered pork chops that I had ordered that Sunday so I returned a few days later during the week. I was on my way to work so I called in to order the food so that it would be ready once I arrived. When he answered the phone i could tell that he was not in a good mood by his tone and the way he was answering which was totally opposite of the service he gave us on that Sunday but no big deal everybody have a bad day so that didn't stop me from ordering but when he said they didn't have smothered pork chops today only fried I should have taken that clue along with his rude service to say nevermind I'll go somewhere else. But instead I placed the order for the fried pork chops. Once I get there to pick it up I waited just a few minutes and he came out with the food I ordered a sweet tea as well because that past Sunday I had that too and it was delicious. The fried pork chops were loaded with grease and can tell that they had previously been fried and then refried when they sold them the meat in pork chop is white this pork chop meat was dark brown old and tough it was extremely disappointing the collard greens this time tasted watered down as did the sweet tea and the macaroni was beginning to curled. I immediately call back to the restaurant to let them know about the pork chops and he said the pork chops were not old and that maybe they were just not my preference. I reminded him that it was me and my partner that was just there Sunday and ordered smothered chops so yes it is my preference he responded again that the pork chops were fresh and that he even went out his way to smothered them after he told me they didn't have smothered today smh he was very dismissive and rude and said oh well ain't nothing I can do after I even offered to bring the food back up there and after leaving them a good review and tipping each time I came I even tip on that order that was almost $20 and leaving a tip to just have to throw the food out is wild. Needless to sad the whole interaction was sad and disappointing as was the food that day. Can't say that I'll be back I'm sure by the way he handle the ordeal they could care less which is crazy not to appreciate your customers paying dollar.

Food and service is 🔥🔥🔥my partner and I stopped by this Sunday and ordered the smothered pork chops and meatloaf with collards and Mac n chz. Everything was fresh hot and tasted amazing I ended up doing another order of the greens and Mac. Levie made us feel at home and polite and kind customer service will definitely have us running back!
