it would be very good if the dirty, smelly oily water was not constantly poured into the street so that passers-by would constantly wallow in the dirt....

Had a good experience overall. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the food was solid, though the fries were a bit of a letdown-soggy and too greasy. Service was friendly and efficient, adding to the positive experience. Would consider coming back but might skip the fries next time.

Music was a local band and was great. We had a few drinks, fried shrimp basket is one of the best I’ve had. The fried pickles were really good and so was the AJ fish sandwich. All of the food was great and the staff was friendly and helpful even at the bar.

Was there last Wednesday 10/9/24. Sat outside for karaoke. Not sure who runs this place but they don’t know their audience. Obviously a lot of families there on fall break. Several kids present and a lady would get up periodically and make toasts that were purely sexual. Very tacky. Food followed same course. Not one of the 5 of us ate our whole meal. Nothing special. Our waitress did a great job though.

Gave them a four star on atmosphere because we walked in to the outside seating area and we were discussing amongst ourselves going upstairs and we were overheard by the visor-wearing bartender outside and were rudely told..”IT’S CLOSED!..no “Welcome to AJ’s and sorry it’s closed” or nothing …we thought about walking out and going somewhere else, but decided to go inside and we’re glad we did. Food and service was excellent. Our server Carrie was excellent in all respects, and upon leaving I spoke with the manager about the wonderful evening and about the rude, visor-wearing bartender outside and she appreciated it.

We visited twice during our vacation. Raw oysters were good, but the fried oyster basket was skimpy. An unbelievable amount of French fries covered the plate, but it did not make up for the lacking size of the oysters.

If I could give this a 0/5 I would. I cannot describe how awful my experience was here tonight. The server was incompetent and so rude. We waited about 50 minutes to get waters, and after almost 2 hours my girlfriend never got her food. My burger was cold and undercooked. Even after all of that the server was rude and not apologetic whatsoever. I had to go behind the bar myself to get a pen to pay my tab. First time I have ever left no tip at a restaurant. I am not a rude person, but this was without a doubt the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I will not be back.

The food was good but the wait staff is very hospitable! Nicole was our waitress and she was amazing! After dinner we went outside and the outside bartenders Tyler, Eric and Trent were awesome too!

Came here again 9/29 and service was great! Carson C. is the man. Gave us everything we need and then some. Keep this sweet young man, they are hard to come by!

Highly recommended restaurant to visit while around Okaloosa Island/Destin. There are several locations but I visited one on Santa Rosa Blvd. Awesome Atmosphere, great service, Great Food. I actually went twice while on vacation. We enjoyed so much 1st time, went again before returning home. I had 1st time Deviled Crab basket and OH YEAH!! Awesomeness. 2nd time Crab Cakes basket , OMG!!! Definitely gotta go to AJ's for great food ?. Others with me ALL said their food was DELICIOUS, reason for returning 2nd time. AND don't forget to order appetizers, Fried Pickles ?
