The Shack

the banging shrimp was the best we ever had. the portion side was the size of the big plate and was a meal by its self. I also did the crab combo...the side order of shrimp was good....I just wish I would have found this sooner

Went on 3/23 and waited a while for a table although we saw plenty of open spots. Short on staff I suppose. Went to bar and that was quick while we waited. Got a table and ordered and they messed up my wife’s meal. By the time the corrected meal was out everyone was done and ready to go. Kids got virgin specialty drinks and complained of the taste. Waitress errored on our ticket and I was charged twice. Now waiting for one to void off. Unfortunately we’ll be removing The Shack from our go to and recommend places. Stewby’s, The BoatHouse and The Gulf was spot on though!

Huge fan of this place. Started with a calamari appetizer and had the catch of the day (mahi) for the entree. Ordered some crab cakes as well to try. The food was delicious. Quick 10 minute drive from our oceanfront condo. Wasn’t busy at all on a Friday night at 7pm. Got there and they told us to choose any available table. Waiter took our order and food was out in under 20 minutes. We sat at a table outside on the deck by the water. Portion sizes are large and the prices are reasonable. Great restaurant for those visiting Fort Walton and are looking for a fresh local fish dinner.

This place has REALLY good food. The Baja Shrimp tacos were awesome but the Key Lime Pie was the best part of our meals. Service was great. Grab a t shirt on the way out. Good quality!

You must visit this restaurant when you’re near Fort Walton Beach in Florida, the food is very tasty and well made, the beach view is amazing and the servers are very friendly and helpful.

Great place! Everything was good and fresh, especially the fried green tomatoes. My husband had steak and shrimp. I had a lot of vegetables. Service was great, and the waterfront made it even better. This was our anniversary and great choice. There was a long wait, but it was worth it!

5:00 on Sunday called to place a carry out order, but was told they’re not doing carry out tonight because they’re too busy….wow, not impressed

Had a late lunch at The Shack. We had Cajun Pasta and a fish platter.

Fish was quite good as expected, the pasta was "just okay" (only because the chef used too much Cajun Alfredo over the pasta) the shrimp and crawfish were tasty.

Would I go again, yes... want to try their blackened fish.

Fried green tomatoes were amazing. Kids menu prices were good for portions. Crab legs expensive, but to be expected, cooked perfectly.

Kid-friendliness: Brought 4 kids, enjoyed sitting outside, service was fast and souvenir frisbees were cool touch.
