Pepper's Taqueria and Cantina

With a heavy heart I have to share my very disappointing visit to peppers in fort Walton. Figured on a holiday they’d be in their game but was sadly mistaken. Walking in and seeing staff playing on the phones at the bar should have been a warning, but we tried anyways. We ordered their “new” street tacos carne asada. Tortillas were ice cold, meat was barely warm and had a spoiled smell and taste. While I will say our waiter was so sweet and attentive, the manager Pedro left much to be desired. I watched our server tell him we had issues at the bar and Pedro continued to sit there for an additional 20 minutes (we’d already paid our bill for the record) before approaching us to see the issue. And you could instantly tell he didn’t actually care about our issues, just said what he could to move us along. Very bummed and disappointed Peppers, hope you get better but you’ve lost two great guests.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and sat to our seats quick. We ordered 3 things, queso, loaded nachos, and a birria pizza. The queso was great (along with the chips and salsa they provided) and the nachos were okay. The birria was definitely lacking flavor. The consommé needs to be more favorable.

They messed up the pulsa taxana made it soupy and just not delicious I will never go back here Crestview location is way better

Hands down the best salsa EVER!! The chips come out warm, they don’t skimp on the topping with their tacos. See picture ..that’s 2 tacos believe it or not!! Chopped guacamole was amazing! Love this place, I just wished I lived closer! 🥹❤️

Restaurant was not busy, 1:00 in the afternoon. Waited 5 minutes at table for chips and salsa, then another 10 before server ever came over, and that was after I was walking out to go to another restaurant. Horrible service. Servers walking by several times and no one ever came to take an order for drinks or anything. Wont go back.

We had a party of 25. They accommodate us and set us at one long table. The food was great, service was great, and they got the food out in a timely manner. Infact I felt it came out faster than i expected, for having 25 different orders at once. When we come back to the area we will be stopping here every time. Thanks to the staff for the service you all provided.

They’ve repeatedly messed up my order. Bean burrito means bean burrito, not beef. I’m a vegetarian. Leaving one star because it keeps happening. I hate to be that guy, but COME ON.

Great atmosphere, excellent service and good food! The Jae Rich Project is playing live music. Great experience, will return when I’m in town again.

Great place to get some good food! Love the margaritas!! Servers are awesome!
