The best find of the year. Fried catfish, collard greens and gumbo. The bread pudding is to die for. Shaun the chef outstanding and Anita is very personable and accommodating. Will be back and spread the news

Upon walking in there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, but possibly from someone entering after finishing having a smoke. We had to greet the employee due to her not hearing or seeing us walk in. There were televisions available which we enjoyed because FOOTBALL! Our server was prompt taking our order and the food came at a decent pace. We ordered shrimp and grits which was sadly disappointing, jambalaya which came with no shrimp and pasta instead of rice, okra that was unsalted and the bread pudding that we were told tasted “Just like it came straight from New Orleans” We finished our main entrees because of hunger, but that bland bread pudding sat in that bowl after a single bite.

We wanted to love this place, unfortunately the experience wouldn’t allow it. I’m convinced everyone who left good ratings are paid actors!

Vegetarian options: The veggies are cooked with turkey/pork

Best Cajun you'll find in the area and outside NOLA. Fried food is perfectly crunchy and not oily. This is the best food we had in a week here.

Delicious every single time I visit . I do not have any complaints. Everything I have tried is good, hot, fresh and seasoned well. One of the best restaurants in Fort Walton thus far. I love their gumbo, the creamy spinach shrimp and those crawfish tails are just delicious. I would definitely recommend. Keep up the good work’

Finally some good food in Fort Walton Beach! After looking at the photos we decided to stop in and give it a try. Man, some of the best food I've had around here in a long time! The po-boy bread was so soft in the banana pudding was hands down the best I've ever had! Our waitress was amazing. She gave us recommendations and was SUPER friendly. Definitely stop by and try them!

The Etouffee was good, and pork shops had a little too much breeding, but the rest was goooddd!!

The atmosphere was not bad. We had takeout. We inquired about which menu items contained pork but were still served pork in the etoufee. We heard someone in the kitchen saying “everyone cooks collard greens different” while waiting for our food. Once we got home and noticed the unexpected pork, we didn’t eat those items. We tried the potato salad and collard greens and they were not good. We had to drive back and swapped etoufee for shrimp and grits. The food was not tasty and had no flavor. There was a distinctive sour type taste in nearly all of the food. It was hard to eat. The chicken poboy was good and so was the bread pudding. Would only go back for dessert because it wasn’t super sweet.

We found this place on Google during our trip to Destin. The service was excellent very friendly. The food did not take long to come out and was excellent. My husband and I split the pork chop dinner(it’s a lot of food). The pork chops were so tender and the gravy was delicious. The sides were also excellent. The greens were delicious. Also the sweet tea tastes just like grandma’s. I would recommend trying this little gem off the beaten path.
