The food doesn't have to be this good or authentic, but we're immensely glad it is. The Bavarian's Wirtshaus brings a tiny piece of Deutschland to the American Emerald Coast, complete with a polka trio dressed in lederhosen and filling the moderately sized space with bouncy, beautiful classic Bavarian standards. They even dip into modern pop arrangements here and there, catering to the eclectic patrons, local and tourist alike. Altogether, with a liter of the finest German beer in hand for good measure, The Bavarian's Wirtshaus is a must-visit eatery in Fort Walton Beach. Can you get schnitzel elsewhere in the area? Sure, but it won't be nearly as delicious, and you'll only lament not going to The Bavarian's Wirtshaus first. Prost!

We recently visited Bavarians during their Octoberfest, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was 100% authentic, from the pretzel to the sausages, every bite transported me to the Germany. Even though the restaurant was bustling with people, the service was impeccable. Our server Beri was attentive, friendly and made sure we were well taken care of despite the crowd.
Also, the live polka band made the evening so much fun. If you're looking for true taste of Germany and have a great time, this is the place to go!
