The view, the atmosphere and the food will make you want to return again and again! We came in after a long day of being on the boat and our waiter Nick, was quick to greet us and take our drink & good order. The drinks, a cold beer & a blue Heron were quickly followed by the hot shrimp & crab dip with insanely good pita bread & a cup of seafood gumbo. Both had incredible flavor! We ordered the blackened grouper and I personally had the Bairdi crab legs which came with two clusters of crab, a whole corn cob and two potatoes. Sadly I did not touch the potatoes or the corn but when I tell you I ate ALL of the meat in those crab legs, I really did! Even Nick was impressed by how I destroyed these crab legs. Perfectly seasoned, served with melted butter and all the tools one would need to properly dissect these crab legs. I really wish I lived closer. I go back at least once a week for these. The Bairdi crab are a tad sweeter and just a tad larger than regular snow crab legs and on the pricier side but worth every penney! This bucket list item was well worth the wait!

Service was great, but the food was so-so. Had a hard time finding the seafood in the seafood gumbo. Jumbo crab and shrimp linguine were very salty.

My fiance and I stopped here for appetizers while on the beach, and our waiter, Elias was the BOMB!! He helped us pick three appetizers out and they were ALL amazing. The smoked tuna, hot crab and shrimp dip, and the crab cake are a MUST!! Also, Elias was seriously my favorite waiter on this trip, he was so kind and personable and we loved him!

The food was cold the server was not in tune with her tables when seated. I try to get a manager to complain about my cold food for $139.00 my total price after drinks, etc. were 248.00…. I called the general manager, spoke with him. Miguel Coronado who stated that he would look into the matter and call me back as a general manager. He should follow through because on this day being August 30 I still haven’t received a call and I was there. around August 9.th. So no would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. But I am still waiting for a call from Miguel..

I had an amazing experience at The Crab Trap! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The crab dip was creamy, flavorful, and packed with fresh crab — definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. The gumbo was rich and hearty, with just the right amount of spice, and tasted like true comfort in a bowl. The crab cakes were perfectly seasoned, golden on the outside, and full of fresh crab meat inside.
On top of the incredible food, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable dining experience. If you love seafood, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back!
