We have been here before  when we stayed at the Omni and their filet is always terrific. So on a whim, we decided to drive from Tampa to go have dinner at David's at the OMNI last night. It took us two hours because of the wonderful I-4 traffic. But as soon as we got there, it was all worth it. Literally everything was terrific. The steak was worth the wait. But the side items were terrific. The bread. The desserts were terrific. We joked that since everything was terrific...
The service here was truly top-tier, from the valet to the host to the server, every interaction was great. I visited for Magical Dining, and the experience did not disappoint. The cheese biscuits were tasty, and I really enjoyed the short rib and the biscoff cake as well. I definitely plan to return, this spot makes for a perfect date night.
The food was outstanding. The crab cake was likely the best I've ever had. We thought the price was very reasonable for a party of 4. The view from our window table was excellent. Unfortunately, there was a large group of maybe 25-30 people with numerous small children screaming at the top of their lungs and running around the tables the entire time we were there. I felt badly for the staff because they constantly had to dodge the children. But it would have been much appreciated...
