Mystic Ice Cream is amazing! owned by Darrell and Lisa. Lisa makes all the ice cream by hand! They have 15 classic flavors and 15+ adult flavors. The adult flavors are very unique and include alcohol. So yummy! Darrell and Lisa are so friendly; it is nice to have these business owners in our neighborhood.

Mystic Ice Cream in downtown Mount Dora has a super cute vibe, and we’ve enjoyed trying several flavors — all of them were good! Prices feel a bit high for the regular flavors, but fair for the boozy ones. That said, we’ve had the same uncomfortable experience on two different visits. When it came time to pay, the ladies kept the card machine on their side, didn’t show us the screen, and then directly asked if we wanted to leave a tip. It felt awkward and left us uneasy, especially since it happened with two different employees on two different ocassions. A suggestion: be transparent and let customers see the machine and the charges. Tipping should be optional, never pressured. The ice cream and atmosphere are great, but this checkout practice could easily drive customers away if it continues.

Very courteous, cheerful server. Local decor from the late 60-70s. Unconventional ice cream choices BUT delicious. We shall return!

We've visited here a few times with family and with couples and we think it's awesome. The home-made ice cream is really good (fave is Frankenstein!) though i tried a bit of the "adult ice cream" and can't say I care much for that. The place itself is a trip! Tons of memorabilia and pop culture fun surround you while you doodle on an etch-a-sketch or try your hand at a Rubix's cube. They also have trivia night which is well attended and karaoke (though that is 18+). Give it it a try!

Finally went to Mystic ice cream and we were very glad we did. All ice cream made in house. A small is 2 scoops and can be different flavors so we opted for one adult flavor and one non alcohol scoop. Delicious! On The Sunday we visited they had music from 10 musicians who played and sung a variety of songs. No one rushed you to leave. Take any open seat at the odd assortment of tables and chairs and enjoy the music which lasted for more than 2 hours.

We are regulars for Thursday night trivia. You will not find better homemade ice cream anywhere!

All of the ice cream here is incredible! Had the Kahlua and the Bailey's and recommend both very highly. Very cool, unique place with comfortable seating and fun decor.

This place is totally amazing. With iconic items, lots of 50’s, 60’s and 70s old memorabilia all over the walls. All the tables are decorated in the 70s era and has different games that you can sit at to play this place offers each night something for everyone to do see pictures. The ice cream is homemade with several amazing flavors and you can even have your ice cream made with alcohol.
