This place is completely run down. Upon entering we had to wait 5 minutes at the front desk before anyone would come greet us to let us get our shoes and pay for our games. When looking the through the ball selection we couldn’t find any in the size we use, a 10lb. We decided to just roll with it and go up to an 11. When getting our game setup on the lane, it wouldn’t allow us to put in both players so we had to go back to the front desk to have them manually add our second player. after finally being ready to start playing, I bowled first and the ball failed to return. I bowled the rest of my frame hoping both balls would return and that it had just gotten stuck. Neither ball returned and instead of continuing to fight with this all the issues we decided to just call it a day and ask for a refund as we had only gotten 1 frame for 1 player. When asking for the refund the manager got attitude telling us it was our fault and that certain lighter balls get stuck in certain lanes and we should have come to let her know instead of asking for a refund. After all the issues it wasn’t worth moving to another lane to us. She also wasn’t willing refund anything other than the 2nd game. Not a welcoming place and completely run down.

I purchased an hour for my family and they explained where we would be and got our shoes. We had difficulty putting in our names and they helped. After the names were in we noticed we only had 50 minutes. We tried playing and the pins kept falling and it would not return the ball. I went to the front desk and told them. They said they reset it and it should work. It still dropped pins and did not return the ball. Now 20 minutes went by and we were not able to bowl. I asked if I could get a different lane and they said no. Then I asked for my money back and I would accept even half. They said they would not refund my money so I left.

Great lanes and great people.

I paid for an hour and two shoes. After the screen would not put in names we got help and we were finally able to play with only 50 minutes left. We tried to bowl but the pins kept falling and there was not any pins some of the time. I asked if I could be put on another lane and I was told it would be okay but we were still getting pins falling and no ball returned. I asked for my money back and they said they cannot I still had 30 .minutes left and the the manager told me she would finally move me to another lanes and felt I was being unreasonable. I told her I would rather leave and asked for her corporate office phone number.

My Wife and I had a great experience. No issues. Staff was friendly and no problems with the lanes. Rest rooms were fine as well. The place is a little dated, but it's nostalgic. The beer could be a little colder.

My family is very grateful to the GatorZ Bowling Center for partnering with Special Olympics. Our adult son with intellectual disabilities practices there and we just had a regional competition at their facility. The staff is so kind and understanding! Thank you for being our hosts and making us feel welcome!

Love coming here to learn and practice the sport. If you're looking to improve your game or gear, Mike at The Bowlers Hut Pro Shop is awesome!

*Has not been updated in decades*
None of the lanes function as intended and the staff are completely unwilling to reset the lanes when asked.
Additionally they told us they were closing down the beer service because too many patrons were there and they couldn’t fill the orders. The lanes were not even half full and the employees were just hanging on their phones the entire time.

While the staff was nothing but super duper nice and we had a lovely time, I had to subtract stars because the place is unfortunately so run down. The lanes felt like they were leaning, we could barely find balls to fit our adult sized hands and The bathroom was ghastly. On the flip side - we had a nice family date playing with the children. I really really like the staff and how welcoming they were. If enough people start going maybe they could afford to fix the place up. I truly wish them the best.

I like this place. Yes it’s older and can use some cosmetic upgrades, but it’s a great place to make memories with the family and the lanes aren’t bad! The staff is friendly and it’s not a busy part of town! I have 5 stars because I truly enjoy going here!

As one of two alleys in Gainesville, this one really takes the cake. Yeah it might not be the most polished, most clean, most interesting alley you’ve ever been to but the staff is all friendly and they care about bowling. None of the extras and all that jazz but pure bowling. I will not lie it’s an old center with machines that break down and chairs that may break but the staff is quick to fix problems and accommodate the conditions. Definitely try and get the Groupon though!

Honestly this place sucks. The food sucks. The service sucks. Everything about it sucks. I had paid for a groupon and showed up at 9pm, mind the place doesn’t close until 11PM. They rude lady at the front proceeded to tell me that we could not bowl because “the computer removed the groupon button to open a lane”. This place is crooked.
