They did have a vegan dessert. But they should just take the vegan appetizers off the menu if they’re not going to have them

Not sure why some previous reviewers left 1 star reviews. This place is a hidden gem in Gainesville and well parking is super easy with a parking garage right next door. Pretty easy for a downtown restaurant.
My family came in right at opening and was promptly greeted and seated right away. Waitress was kind and explained the specials for the evening. Food took a reasonable time to come out and everything we had from the Tapas to the main entry was fresh and delicious. Even my 3 year old went ham on the croque. Not a huge drinker but the menu there look intriguing with lots of European options that I may try on the next visit. Will definitely be back.

Alpine Bistro is our favorite restaurant in Gainesville. The food is always delicious. We recommend especially the French onion soup. We like to arrive at six for dinner in order to beat the crowd. Given the restaurant's downtown location, the parking is tight, but the trip is well worth the effort!

Absolutely excellent space with a great atmosphere and even better food. I'm always blown away by the quality of the food, drinks, and service. It's clear that there's care and pride put into the planning and crafting in every aspect of this dining space. I would highly recommend checking out their pasta nights - I've yet to be disappointed.

Parking: Parking in Gainesville blows but there's accessible and affordable parking near alpin.

The staff was exceptional, especially our bartender. The food was spectacular, we had late night menu crepes. The crepe menu starts after 10pm, and they were perfect. The cocktails were perfect as well. Thanks Alpin Bistro!

Never had bad food, drinks, or service here. The atmosphere is very cozy. Drinks can get a little expensive, but they're absolutely worth it. My favorite date spot.

One of my favorite places to eat. Great food, people, vibe, etc. Freshly made pasta on Thursdays, brunch on Saturdays, and a great French Bistro menu all the time. If you haven't visited yet, you're missing out.

Been to Alpin numerous times now. Never had a mildly disappointing meal or drink. The food is always fantastic. I have a hard time veering away from the Croque and Croute Lardons, which might be the best bites I’ve had in Gainesville. The cocktails and wine are excellent as well. Desserts are consistently great with interesting new crème brûlée flavors all the time. Service has been genuinely fantastic, always friendly.

Probably my personal choice for best restaurant in Gainesville at the moment.

Absolutely AMAZING. This was my frist time and I will be returning.
I got the butternut squash soup, croque forestier, and affogato.
Every single bite was amazing, I havent been this impressed with a meal in a while. 100/10 suggest.

Service was great. Atomosphere is warm, cozy, and cute. Lastly very clean all over.

The cheese plate and wine pairing choices made it hard to choose (but we managed) The goat cheese and mushroom quiche was delicious. Next time I will leave room for dessert. My friends toasting girls night out!

Lovely little date night spot! Daisy our server was very sweet and helpful :) The happy hour small charcuterie was perfect for a pre-dinner appetizer. Even put the bread on the side for me because I’m gluten free. Would recommend!
