I’ve been visiting Bageland for about 18 years since my family and I moved to Gainesville, and it never disappoints! The new owners are incredibly kind and welcoming — they make everyone feel at home. Their bagels, muffins, and croissants are always delicious. My go-to is the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and I always grab a few muffins and croissants to take home. Amazing prices and consistently great service. I’ll keep coming back! 😊

This is the place to go if you're feeling like a great, classic breakfast! Never disappoints 😏
My family has patronized Bageland for the past 30 years. We loved the original owner's immigrant story and love that they sold to another immigrant family from Haiti. Girly and her family do a wonderful job - the food, service and fun are still there.

Waited 30 minutes for a bagel that has a singular slice of ham on it. For $11.
Nothing to write home about.

Great Bagels, Poorly Cooked Eggs
Ordered eggs over hard and received over medium—twice. Despite pointing it out, they brought the same undercooked style again. My wife’s eggs were also runny, so it wasn’t just a mix-up. Staff was friendly but clearly not trained on basic egg cooking. I didn’t eat the eggs out of frustration, but the bagels and home fries were great—hence more than one star. Hope new management steps things up.

Look a minute to find it as the entrance is on the exterior of the plaza vs the interior like most shops. The woman at the counter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Bagel were yummy, nice variety.
Restaurantji Recommends
Purchased a bag of leftovers from Too Good To Go, and when I arrived for the pick-up time, the store was closed for Memorial Day. No problem with being closed for Memorial Day but they shouldn’t sell things they can’t fulfill.
Edit: What an incredibly rude response. No accountability. Stores are supposed to zero out their bags on Too Good To Go if they have nothing to sell that day. It is perfectly reasonable as a customer to assume that a restaurant is open if they are selling food for pick up. I was not the only one who showed up to pick up a bag.
Delicious bagel!
I don't know how this place has stayed in business for so long. I feel like the owner has never had a real bagel. They taste like pizza crust.
We went here for years this weekend something was different. As we walked to the front and reached for the door we could hear conversations as we open the door but once we stepped in there was a white silence and the atmosphere didn't feel warm and homey the lady that took my order was cold and my bagel egg and cheese had a slice of bacon we will no longer spend our black or Spanish dollars there when the Oriental lady owned it was like home....
WOW! I stumbled upon Bageland, this afternoon and I couldn’t be more pleased. They have several varieties of huge, handmade Bagels and “Toppers”. I tried the tomato Basil pizza bagel and a plain bagel with garlic butter spread, both were delightful! It has a quiet and calm ambience for studying, and they have free wifi available.
If you are looking for bagels in Gainesville, skip the 7AM line at Lukes and give this place a try :)
