“My gf and I finally stopped in yesterday to try Ballyhoo Grill. She's not much on seafood but her coworkers wanted to go. We didn't know they had happy hour so we instantly ordered 2 rounds of Bloody Mary's. $12 for a Bloody Mary on happy hour is not much of a deal if you ask me, but we didn't find that out until we received the check. First bloody came out very thin looking and was very watered down, second came out a little darker but still very watered down. The other cocktails we ordered were very much on the weak side as well. Drinks are not their strong point at all. We did get some appetizers and they were decent. In all my years ordering gator, I've never had it served with a BBQ sauce. The gator was good but a spicy ranch or even just cocktail sauce would have been better. I ordered a full rack of ribs and let me tell you, they were great!!! Fall off the bone and very flavorful. Their garlic mashed potatoes tasted perfect as well. My gf ordered a Greek salad and it's a pretty nice portion and presented very well. They decor is cool to check out, the service is great, the food is really good but the drinks need help. We definitely will be back, especially for those ribs!!!“

“Spectacular view, atmosphere and setting... just upscale enough to put on the dress you've been saving but not too much that it's snobby or uncomfortable. The picturesque backdrop and complimentary valet parking makes you feel like you're not in Gainesville anymore. Absolutely wonderful place for an escape date night! Now, the food. We had the deviled eggs for a starter. Nope. Pass on it. Hubby ordered the Coco Pirinah drink and it was presented lavishly, befitting the place. Very original but just a touch too tart and tad weak for our taste. For mains we both ordered steak frites entrees. The salad was deceitfully simple and plain looking but actually original and very delicious. The steak was prepared properly to order and was tasty. Limited menu and food/drink just shy of wow got it to 4 stars. 5th star for the view, complimentary valet parking and setting.
