[Food Safty Issues] See what I found in my food. It is extremely dangerous if I accidentally eat it. This store should not be allowed to operate if the food safety issues cannot be resolved.

Amazing dry hot pot here. Such good flavors and toppings. I usually get medium spice with fish filet, lotus root, fried tofu, thick noodle, winter melon and enoki mushroom. So good!! Highly recommend.

Delicious, authentic, and rich Chinese flavors that were needed in Gainesville. The hot bar is easy and quick for some great entrees as well. Portions are plentiful for how much you pay and I definitely recommend trying all the different options they have.

Fresh, tasty and big portion. Minimal wait time.

My wife (Chinese,) and I ate there yesterday. Food was authentic, hot, plentiful and the service was very good. Most people are used to American Chinese food which has never been good. Chili Spot food was served as it should be served. Hot, plentiful, friendly. If you enjoy good Chinese food, go there.if you like bad food go to Wong Dong Foo.

This was opened within the new-ish Enson Market as a Mala Tang and Mala Xiang Guo take-away place, but seems they have now expanded to a hot bar with a variety of dishes to pick from already made up for take-away as well. Now, Mala Tang and Mala Xiang Guo both come from Sichuan as far as I'm aware, so they're spicy--and the other food here is, too. I got some food to take away from the bar including Kung Pao chicken, lion's head meatballs (pork, no lions were harmed!), eggplant, and lo mein. The lion's head meatballs were excellent, the Kung Pao chicken very spicy and very good, the eggplant a bit soggy but alright, the lo mein . . . well, no better than most strip mall quick Chinese places, honestly. Still, it was good overall and this is very nice to have a place for take-away in the grocery store--it's also beside the boba tea and mochi donut counter so you can get your dessert and just everything in one fell swoop here. I did find it, as someone who cooks a lot of Chinese food myself, rather bemusing that they aced the tricky dishes and yet pretty much botched the lo mein which should have been the easiest part of the menu.

Wow, I'm not sure what this cuisine is but the stir fry is an explosion of flavor, quite unlike anything I've tasted before. Fresh and clean, but be aware the "mild" definitely has a spicy kick.

I thought this one is a new branch of very popular Sichuan Cuisine call Chilispot in Orlando, but absolutely not . It is fate, what a shame!

It's too expensive for the amount of food.

Gainesville now has a place that specializes in Mala Tang (spicy hotpot) and Mala Xiang Guo(spicy dry hotpot). Both Mala Tang and Mala Xiang Guo are some of the most popular and authentic dishes from Sichuan province in China. The place is located inside Enson Market right next to Tiger Sugar Milk Tea and Japanese Mochi Donut place! Pro tip: just like my previous posts, this place is a real deal. I would not try spicy or extra spicy unless you are familiar with spicy east asian food.

I was wandering around my favorite Asian grocery market in Gainesville and saw that they opened this food counter in the back. Advertised on their billboard was mala tang. Hello! One of my all time faves! I quickly got on line (only a few people ahead of me on a Saturday afternoon) and ordered an ultimate combo with beef broth, regular spice level, and thick noodles to go. The girl working the counter said the beef, ultimate, and supreme beef combos were popular items.Service was kinda slow, I ended up waiting around 20 minutes for items that are basically pre-made. I think it's because they just opened so they're probably still trying to get their workflow down. If you don't like to wait, I would recommend placing your order first and then going grocery shopping. Otherwise, they do have tables in the corner where you can sit down and wait. The whole area is very clean and brightly lit. And you can also watch people preparing mochi donuts and milk tea for the station next door.Unfortunately when I got home, I realized they gave me the wrong item. They gave me a beef combo instead of an ultimate, which was kinda disappointing as the latter was more expensive and I was looking forward to trying the wider variety of items in that dish. Taste-wise though it is very good. Perfect amount of spiciness, lots of toppings, and noodles were not soggy. Definitely satisfies any noodle soup cravings you have.I would still stop by this place to check out their food as taste-wise, it was excellent. They just need to work on fulfilling the correct order and doing it more efficiently.
