This was a great restaurant until the new owners took over. The once pleasant and efficient service has been replaced by indifferent, incompetent service.
The new owner seems to believe that when he bought the business he acquired the assets and not the liabilities. Consequently they do not honor gift certificates issued by the prior owner. And you can't believe a word they say.

Everything was delicious. The service was a little slow but only because they where packed. We came at 7p and left around 8:30p. Definitely coming back here again

Went out for lunch today and left truly content with the service and atmosphere. Priscilla took care of us today and was nothing short of amazing. She recommended for us to try her “taste of miami” drink and we were truly impressed. Definitely worth coming out and giving this spot a visit. Ask for Priscilla!!!

1st issue was A DOG on a guy's lap inside the restaurant as he ate. For a server to even offer indoor dining as an option w/a dog is absurd. Second, the plating is sloppy. The duck tostones are yummy but they plate them in a glob of sauce making the bottom soggy. They're always out of particular dishes. It's just disappointing overall.

Amazing! Came for my birthday and I felt so so special. Alex took such great care of us. The food is 10/10 and the cocktails are spectacular. I’ll always come back here.

There was a piece of wire in our food. This happened twice in a row. My wife and I ordered the Mango-Mustard Glazed Salmon. We noticed a piece of wire in the food and asked the server to check with the chef and get it done once again. When they got it out the second time, there was another piece of wire. What was even more infuriating was that they were not willing to accept that it was their fault and were acting all unknown. I used to love this restaurant, but considering the health hazard it poses, I will not recommend it to anyone going forward.

My husband and I went to UF to visit our nieces (a senior and a freshman) and our good friend, a professor at UF. We decided to take the young ladies out to dinner and Cintron came recommended by another restaurant owner (whose eatery was closed for vacation) and my friend the professor. It's a little difficult to find because it's housed in a strip mall with an unusual configuration. You have to be sure to venture into the heart of the square to locate the place. Once you do, you will find that it has inside dining for about a dozen or so, and outside seating for double that amount. Cintron touts a "Floribbean" theme sporting decor and meals with a Caribbean flavor. We had the Duck-Filled Tostones appetizer and the Yuca-Crusted Calamari Frito. Both were very good, but the the duck tostones were the favorite at the table. (Even if a tad salty.) My husband had the Tacos Barrachos. I had the Cuban Dip, and the young ladies had Prime Beef Burgers. Both ordered them medium but they came medium well and bit more overdone than they would have liked. The fries that accompanied those meals were crispy and tasty. The yuca fries that came along with the Cuban dip were addictive. I honestly loved them more than my sandwich (a bit too salty) and could have eaten a plate full and nothing else. The fish tacos and their special sauce was good. (When I asked for malt vinaigrette for my fish taco, the server had no clue what it was.) The prices are not cheap, but they are on par for the food offerings. Dinner for 4 with 2 appetizers and 1 alcoholic drink, tax, and tip was $136. I would definitely go back and get the duck tostones (maybe as a meal) and a plate full of yuca fries. Tip to management: A couple of meats (duck, beef) were a bit too salty. It is better to add less salt. The diner can add more, but they can't remove salt when there is too much on the meat.

HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TODAY. Ordered the Mango mustard glazed salmon and shared it with my partner. Found a wire while eating my portion. Thought this was a genuine mistake and let the server know. He said he doesn't know what happened but agreed to replace my portion. To my surprise, I found wire in the next plate as well. I returned it. Let the server and Manager know about it but no one was taking the responsibility. After arguing, they unwillingly agreed to not bill my portion and made me pay for the other half. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!
NOT COMING HERE EVER AGAIN. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I don't try to post bad reviews but, apparently this restaurant is now under new ownership. They refused to accept my $50 gift card. Even if this is not technically illegal, I do not think this is ethical business practice to not honor it. When you buy a business you assume their liabilities. They will lose more money in the long run.
Calamari was super soggy too.

We were looking for new things to try and stumbled on this gem in the middle of Thornebrook. Alex, our server, was awesome. I tried their Linguini and I mentioned how I've been on a carbonara kick lately, and this was better than that! He even offered to have the cooks make a carbonara for us to try next time we go.

I plan to be going here pretty often now that I've found it. Actually heading soon to try that carbonara! If you haven't heard of these guys already, please give them a try, that linguini was phenomenal. If I remember, I will post pictures of the Carbonara!

Post carbonara: best one I’ve ever had.
