Good shrimp tacos, but did not care for the pulled pork carnitas, but the person I was with liked them. Queso was good. Service was quick and friendly.

Beautiful space. I love the upstairs bar. However, the staff is not well trained yet. Margaritas are made with bad sour mix, and food not coming out as ordered. This has happened over the course of a few visits.

So I decided to try out his place even though the reviews were not so great. The reasons why where the location and the availability to be open till late at night in Gainesville!!! So I have to say that the service was great and the food was really good. Venue is large and awesome. We had the brisket taco, the fish ( Mahi), and the crispy carnitas. Also their margarita was excellent. Not franchise mix crap. From what I see they are fixing their kinks. I really I'm rooting for this local business to make it through!!!!!!

They messed up our order, and the food was horrible, the rice was undercooked, fish over cooked , tacos had no flavor , even the street corn was whatever. We ordered around $90 worth of food and could barely eat any of it .

Our experience here was nothing short of disappointing. When we arrived the hostess was outside on her phone and followed us in. After taking us through the restaurant we were finally sat upstairs near the bar. There was a group of four of us and we were the only customers in the place. The server finally came over to take our order and throw some stale chips down on the table. He was clearly not interested in us being there and made this evident in not wanting to answer any questions. We each ordered a margarita and browsed the menu. After about 25 minutes for our drinks as the only customers we made the decision to finish them and leave. We took our business elsewhere as this place was not interested, and the stale chips and subpar drinks were uninspiring. If you're looking for good food, good service, or a welcoming atmosphere you should definitely skip this place!

Food was ok as was the service. Almost no one was there. Music inside was so load we had to sit on the patio. For some reason, they couldn't turn on the outside fans and it was very hot. Not recommended.

The food was good, but not authentic if that's what you're looking for. Very Americanized.

If you are looking for a bar this is the place. As a restaurant it leaves a lot to be desired. The seating is all around the bar. We moved tables twice trying to get away from noisy drunks. The waitress was busy the entire time making drinks. It was not the nice dinner place we were looking for.

Wonderful food and great atmosphere. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! Their shrimp tacos are amazing. Julie B was our server and she was very nice. Check this place out! It's definitely worth it.

We ate here yesterday for the first time and found it to be a bit disappointing. Decor and cleanliness of the place was borderline acceptable, and the food did not seem particularly fresh. The meat in the tacos was actually tasty, as was the corn-based side dish, but otherwise we felt the food was mediocre and definitely overpriced given the quality of ingredients and sloppy presentation. They also misrepresented some of the items on their menu (“pickled onions” are actually just red onions and “gulf shrimp” are...well, not). Between that and the horrible tasting tap water (why don't they have a filter???), we won't be back. Love to support a local restaurant, but they have a lot of work to do.

New favorite Mexican restaurant for my friends and I. The pork belly and brisket is very juicy and flavorful, highly recommend. Decent prices, especially when they're doing their specials. Service has been great, although both times I've been there they appear understaffed. It was lunch time and there was only one waiter/waitress. But even still, the staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is it feels a little dirty sometime. The tables are sticky (they need a different coating) and I've gotten a menu that was crushed up and had spills caked on. So far though, the food itself has been great

Our server was helpful and she tried hard but it was slow even though we were there on a weeknight. Vegans beware: even though there is vegan cheese on the menu, there is hidden meat and cheese in the most innocuous dishes. The black beans, for example, arrived with a huge chunk of rib meat in the center of the bowl! This may be the traditional way of cooking but it should be noted on the menu. The rice is also made with chicken broth. The prices are high, especially on beer, $6 for domestics! Overall, a disappointing & expensive experience. We won't be back.

I really wanted this the be our NEW place!!! we had good service at a table in the lower bar area, decor is warm and on point for a upbeat "Taqueria". Tequila is in their name and they have very limited spirits beyond that, good prices during happy hour and free chips and :( sweet) salsa. Now for the test...in my book the true measure of any such joint is their mastery of fresh GUAC! Two Star guacamole here :((. It is a weird bright green (fake?) colored stuff with some flecks of light colored avo? We admit to being total guac snobs. So take that into account but Bland to none was the prevailing flavor. We asked for some limes and did our best with it and salt/pepper...but could not bring ourselves to eat it. Sorry Dos...that's your rating too, for now.

Stopped in to check out the new restaurant. It was a nice change. I ordered Chips and Salsa for an app, they were cooked to order and had a seasoning blend sprinkled on it. For my entree I ordered the Mexican Shrimp, double battered shrimp tossed in chili lime hot sauce and cilantro. This came with a side of rice and your choice of side, I ordered the farm vegetables which was a zucchini squash medley seasoned. Looking forward to trying other menu items.
