Found this place as we were traveling with our dog. Eating outside on the patio was awesome. Great service and food was delicious. I could have eaten more as we were famished after traveling, but would definitely go back if we are in the area again. The tempeh was absolutely amazing, but I forgot to take a picture until I had already dug in.

Went for Sunday brunch. We both had the huevos rancheros. They were very good and I would recommend it to anyone. Be aware that the business does not take credit cards.

Hidden spot in Gainesville. Breakfast was very good and offered variety of options. Service from Diane was exceptional- just the right balance of attention and non- invasiveness. Area is a little rundown, but it also adds charm and surprise element. Decor is one of a kind if you like more intellectual yet easy going style.

Great little gem of a place! The food was so good. I got the blueberry waffle, scrambled eggs and smoked Gouda grits, the grits were so good and creamy. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the waffle was so good! Everyone in there is so nice, I absolutely loved it!

Crab cakes were so small and thin I was completely shocked. I had to order a second entree because the first one was so small. I had 3 round tomatoes cut in half and spreaded on the lettuce plate. I am okay with fine dining and presentation, but this was a joke. The server was excellent. The second entree the club was no better, bacon was burned and pasta was not seasoned at all. The ambiance was great and a great place to relax for lunch. Just bring a snack with you!!

Eastend is another hidden local gem 💎. It's all about fresh food, great service and relaxing atmosphere. The absolute best veggie burrito in Gainesville!! Especially if you substitute Gouda cheese. For homegrown locals, they have slow cooked grits. Plus, oven baked non-greasy crisp bacon. Locals love Eastend eatery.

I got the Tempeh Scramble w/ Potatoes. While the presentation is lack-luster, the food and service is very good. It’s evident that they do put thought into their vegan items. I really appreciate this spot. #Veganuary Adding a note! The tempeh is sourced from a local maker 😋 Updated from previous review on 2025-01-01
This is a true Gainesville and Florida Gem. It’s like stepping into a completely different atmosphere, place and time. Quaint, cozy and personal. Chef prepares the food with care and wisdom. Flavors are exceptional and well thought out, ingredients are fresh and I would suppose local. The Eggs Benedict over fried green tomatoes was superb. The eggs were cooked to perfection (not an easy task). Very tasty, and although the place is small, the decor and accents allow one to get lost wandering and looking. Wonderful place, wonderful experience. Thank you!
