Excellent Mexican food quick. Breakfast is delicious there as well. Has limited parking but two drive-thru lanes.

Make sure to check your order and get a physical receipt if you go. I got a beef quesadilla, was told it was a beef quesadilla twice, and it was cheese. And not even that much cheese. Pretty lame. Two stars since the food is usually good for the price.

Got sick after an hour of eating from here. Do not even consider. And the food is extremely expensive and tiny portions. Chipotle is not far from here and is far better.

The food here was decent, and the service was very fast—almost too fast at times. It might be because this location is on the college side of town, so they’re geared toward quick in-and-out dining, which can be convenient if you’re in a hurry. However, if you’re coming in as a family looking for a more relaxed meal, the quick pace can feel a bit rushed or even slightly impersonal. We enjoyed our meal, but overall, we prefer the food and the friendlier service at their 34th Street location.

Closest to authentic Houston Texmex we could fund closest to Old Town area, we'll absolutely be back soon! Carne Asada quesadillas were great, meat could have been more tender but the flavors together were perfect. Husband got the combo chicken/steak burrito and we'd definitely order that again as well. Highly recommend the choriqueso, almost identical to how I'd make it myself at home (just missing some roasted green chilies for added kick). This was well worth the hour drive we made on a pretty morning and we'll be visiting again soon!

I used to drive 30 minutes just to eat here. That’s how much I loved El Indio. But after today? I wouldn’t eat their food if you brought it to me for free.

I ordered a kids meal and added a cheese cup. AGAIN — like the last time — the cheese cup wasn’t in the bag. THERE ALSO WAS NO NACHO CHEESE INSIDE THE BURRITO.

When I called, they first tried to gaslight me and say I didn’t order it. Once I pulled up the receipt, they admitted it was on the order.

Then came the excuses: “The kitchen says it was in the bag.” I was literally holding the bag — there was no cheese cup. No apology, no solution. Just rudeness.

The guy who answered the phone was incredibly unprofessional — acted like there was no manager available and outright refused to make it right.

This is the second time this has happened. El Indio is clearly not what it used to be. The new staff doesn’t care about quality or customer service.

Save your money. Save your time. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Drive thru is great and the outdoor seating is very nice despite the summer heat.

I adore El Indio! I’ve been coming here since at least 2003, my mom would bring us here for slushies after school when we were younger. Definitely one of the best taco places in the area. The staff is always so nice and happy to help. I bring all my out of town friends and family here for a reason. If I could change one thing I’d say bring back the shredded chicken for tacos! ❤️
