Never disappoints, I've had great experiences at both locations. Love that they have classic Mexican food, but I can still get fries and a killer milkshake there.

I've been visiting here since 1992 when it opened and I studied at UF. Still delicious!

The portions seem small . The tv in the patio is usually on something odd such as kids cartoons

For the best authentic Mexican food in town, hands down I will ALWAYS choose El Indio. Their service is always with a smile. Their food always taste the same and their prices are always affordable.

Make sure to check your order and get a physical receipt if you go. I got a beef quesadilla, was told it was a beef quesadilla twice, and it was cheese. And not even that much cheese. Pretty lame. Two stars since the food is usually good for the price.

Got sick after an hour of eating from here. Do not even consider. And the food is extremely expensive and tiny portions. Chipotle is not far from here and is far better.

The food here was decent, and the service was very fast—almost too fast at times. It might be because this location is on the college side of town, so they’re geared toward quick in-and-out dining, which can be convenient if you’re in a hurry. However, if you’re coming in as a family looking for a more relaxed meal, the quick pace can feel a bit rushed or even slightly impersonal. We enjoyed our meal, but overall, we prefer the food and the friendlier service at their 34th Street location.

Closest to authentic Houston Texmex we could fund closest to Old Town area, we'll absolutely be back soon! Carne Asada quesadillas were great, meat could have been more tender but the flavors together were perfect. Husband got the combo chicken/steak burrito and we'd definitely order that again as well. Highly recommend the choriqueso, almost identical to how I'd make it myself at home (just missing some roasted green chilies for added kick). This was well worth the hour drive we made on a pretty morning and we'll be visiting again soon!
