It’s a nice area. But there’s no service, just one person at the bar. They didn’t brought what we order, the sensation is that they cooked with what they had in the refrigerator. Much better options in the area/walking distance and in Gainesville as general.

Food was done well but nothing special. Menu was a little different than posted online. Service was so slow and disorganized. Very nice gentleman but definitely in the weeds and had a hard time getting all of the order correct for us and other guest tables. Food was not special so no need for pictures. The coffee was solid.

Can’t review a restaurant thats still not open except for breakfast. This seems to be an issue with other Hotel Indigo restaurants as well. The one time ( Pre COVID ) we dined at a Hotel Indigo restaurant, the food was blasé at best. We opted to have breakfast elsewhere as a result.

Restaurant not open for dinner and apparently hasn't been for month. They have not updated their business hours

(Last visited 2/19/2020). Working in Gainesville, FL for a couple of weeks and I'm staying in the Hotel Indigo at Celebration Pointe. I was blessed with this amazing restaurant to have right downstairs so I'm going to tell you why I think so highly of it. Atmosphere/Appearance: The restaurant is so modern, chic, bright and fun. The décor is lovely and very thought-through. The restaurant spans half of the hotel's lobby with the bar area being right near the front desk, but the dining area directly on the opposite end. There's access to outdoor seating as well if you're feeling it. Service: So throughout my stay at the hotel, Kayla, Thomas and Desiree took care of me for breakfast. They were all amazing at making me feel truly special, almost like royalty. I remember Thomas's bubbly personality, Desiree's talkative spirit and Kayla's ability to cater to everything I needed. I appreciated every one of them. Frederick took care of me at the bar for the one dinner I had and he was awesome. He made me feel like he was a friend of mine whom just happened to be working there. Lol. Food: Breakfasts first. The first thing I ever ordered were the breakfast tacos. They're warm, soft tortillas served with scrambled eggs or egg whites, (I chose traditional scrambled eggs), with a choice of bacon, sausage or chorizo, (I went with all 3), topped with shredded cheese and pico de gallo. You can get breakfast potatoes or a side of fruit to go with the 2 tacos. They were fabulous. The only thing they were missing was some sort of salsa to throw on top. The pico just wasn't enough. This dish was certainly filling. Next breakfast entrée was the Street Corn Hash, which is a bed of chorizo corn hash and black beans topped with 2 eggs of any kind (I had scrambled), cotija cheese, cream and several slices of avocado. This was DELICIOUS. The chorizo was decently spicy, the eggs were fluffy and the whole mixture went together very well. It's much less messy to eat compared to the tacos and of course... I added some hot sauce to it. Lol. Like the tacos. They just need some sauces man. My next and favorite breakfast entrée (I got it 3 times during my visit) is the Superfood Bowl. This is such a beautiful looking, sweet tasting, healthy feeling, spirit lifting dish complied of acai puree paired with coconut milk & chia seed pudding, sliced banana, shredded coconut and crunchy granola. Like I said, this was SO GOOD and literally made me feel so good throughout the entire day. So I did stop by the bar one of the evenings to check out some of the dishes and here's how that went. I tried both their Mahi Tacos and Pork Tacos since the bar was slow. Usually you get an order of 2 with one or the other, but the kitchen hooked me up with one of each. I genuinely appreciated that. Each of the tacos are are compiled of grilled corn tortillas, a red onion-lime slaw, cilantro and the meat of your choice served with a barbecue creama or ranch. They were both decent, but the mahi came out just a little dry. The pork was much better. The wings I had really aren't even worth mentioning. They were okay, but I feel like they were on the menu simply because they're a popular table appetizer. They're just fried and tossed in some sauce, not my favorite. All-in-all, the breakfast here was superior to dinner. Value: Pretty good to be honest. Nothing too crazy here and everything is worth what it's priced at. Breakfast Tacos = $11.00 Street Corn Hash = $13.00 Superfood Bowl = $14.00 Wings = $9.00 Tacos = $14.00 In conclusion, I LOVED this place for its breakfast. Even if I weren't staying here, I'd come here to have their breakfast. JUST GET SOME SALSA IN THERE! Lol.

Very nice vibe, the restaurant is inside the Indigo Hotel. Stop by for a bite and jazz music was playing outside. Love love love

Got there near six, it wasn't packed at all. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The bill was good for what you get. Similar to a cafe in Las Vegas I liked.

Well setup and furnished. Staff was very friendly and professional. Music by DreamerJaz was top notch. The featured artist, Brian Wilson had a variety of work and they were all very good. I was very impressed with the entire show.

Tuna tartare was excellent as was the short rib tostones and chicken with mofongo. Excellent martini and Frederick the bartender was the best!

I totally agree with my wife on this place, Gather could become a great Gainesville Happy Hour bar. It is a little antiseptic, but it has so much potential. Gather has everything you want in a Happy Hour bar. It has easy anonymous in and out parking, a variety of seating settings, a place to stay if you drink too much or start feeling frisky, safe food, and best of all three dollar house wine, and four dollar well drinks. All this place needs now is a great crowd. Unlike my wife, I do not think it is a good alternative to The Top. I think it is a good alternative to Cabot Lodge. The food was a little disappointing in execution. The Tuna Tartar, is more of a Tuna Stack, and it desperately needs acid. If you finished it with something like a champagne wasabi vinaigrette, and did it more like a traditional Tuna Stack with scallions it would be AMAZING, but right now it is just ho-hum. The Cuban Spring Roll is a super fail. First of all a Spring roll has a translucent rice or flower wrapper that is usually not fried. And egg roll has a thicker although still quite thin egg and flower wrapper that is usually deep fried however some health nuts bake them. Gather's Cuban Spring Roll is not a Spring Roll or an Egg Roll; it is like a Pillsbury Crescent Roll like you roll a hot dog in for kids. It is thick and doughy, and any pork cheese and pickle that may or may not be inside is totally lost in the dough. And the so-called mustard aioli is just a lame mustard mayo mix that I cannot even talk about without throwing up a little in my mouth. That sounded really bad. I am not in a good place in my head these days. Their menu is excellent for a meeting people kinda bar, they just fail a little on naming and execution. I hope this place gets popular, because I would love to go in there when it is bustling with happy people from near and far looking to have a great time with new friends and old.

Gather could become my new "Go To" Happy Hour spot. I really like The Top for Happy Hour, but lets face it parking is a bear, and it is all the way downtown which is not convenient for us. Gather has the whole Celebration Point parking structure right outside their front door, and it is a much more convenient location. Other things I like about Gather is that it is bright, and spacey, with a lot of different social seating options; it has a bar, high tops, low tops, couches, indoor seating, and outdoor. You cannot beat that for a happy hour spot, AND IT HAS A HOTEL! I know that sounds slutty, but damn that is convenient sometimes. The best thing about Gather is the Happy Hour pricing: 3-dollar house wine, and 4-dollar wells. The food is a little pricey however, and while the menu looks good, the execution on the two small bite items I ordered was disappointing. I had what is essentially the Tuna Tartar and Jeff had the Cuban Spring Roll. Tuna without wasabi is disappointing, and the Cuban Spring Roll was too much breading and flavorless. One thing that is missing so far at Gather is people, we have been there twice now and there is never more than a few people, but I am sure that will improve as word gets out. Give them a try. You can buy my husband and me a drink without busting your purse.
