Poke Fusion Bowl is hands-down my favorite place to eat out in Gainesville. It's a local family-run business, and the staff are so kind and welcoming. The poke bowls are awesome. The first time I ever tried a poke bowl was here, and while I have since traveled and tried bowls in other locations, this remains the only place where the food is consistently great. I'll admit I tend to order fairly plain custom bowls, but I swear the quality of the ingredients shines here....
It is difficult to find restaurants where you want to keep coming back. For me, Poke Fusion Bowl is one of them. This was my first visit and I loved the recommended Tuna and Salmon bowl. I asked the attendant to remove the rice and put more greens. There was no issue with my special request. The flavors of the sauces with the salad and the fish were delicious. I will definitely will visit again.
5/13/25 update.
Drove quite a while to eat here. Ordered a poke bowl to go.
Everything was good except for the brown rice. It was not fully cooked. I had mixed salad and brown rice. And there is no way to remove the rice after i had mixed it up with everything else. How disappointing, to eat a poke bowl with hard rice.
Maybe it would be a good idea for the cook to try the rice before it is served to customers.
