Hate to say it but I can now allow myself to let this place go. I enjoyed it incredibly in college 2020. Came by this visit a friend and had to get some.
Terrible service and I couldn’t TRY a new meat in the menu. Very disappointing.

Dont waste your time here. Expensive for what you get, and the food lacks flavor. They also don’t seem to have the cleanest environment. Would not recommend.

Please do not waste your money here. The food has no flavor, and is a lot of the time stale. I order queso and they gave me two teaspoons of it and charged me 1 dollar. It’s very inconsistent and the portions are not reasonable considering the price. It also made me nauseous the last time I ate here. The staff are nice tho. Idk how clean the food is.

The restaurant is a great experience and the people are nice, however, the food itself is lackluster. They fill an interesting niche of Spanish Chipotle, however, I really don’t understand how La Fortuna gets away with room temp meat, I almost always have to microwave my rice bowls and it is concerning. Sometimes the portions are decent but a lot of the time they are ridiculously small, giving you one or two plantains and a single scoop of rice. Especially as a college lunchroom option I expect it to be held to a higher standard as hundreds of people will eat here daily for lunch, the restaurant is only open for about 8 hrs a day, no excuse to be cold.

I liked this place but now that I found a roach in the red beans I won’t be coming back. This is disgusting and disappointing.

Their quesitos remind me of Kasalta's in San Juan. Great sandwiches too. Glad to have more options around the Northwood area.

Sadly, the service here has taken a dive since we returned from COVID. They now no longer toast the wraps and don't train staff how to make them. The one I got today was terrible. I could not eat it as a wrap. I had to put it in a bowl and spent my lunch peeling wax paper and foil from my lunch. No bueno.

Stopped by for a hot breakfast bowl with potatoes, eggs and bacon around 8:30am. The people are really kind, but unfortunately all of my food was cold, which made me concerned that the food isn't being kept at a safe temperatures.

OMG! I was on my way to the place next door to them, but the aroma had me detour! Man was it worth the last minute B-Line! Very Tasty, great value for your money. Needless to say, I will be back again and again!

Very tasty latin food. Great service. Glad they have a latin restaurant in the area. Needs an online menu though.

Lots of great food for a fair price, best eats on campus :)!

Had their chicken milanesas (breaded fried chicken) almost every day, with rice, beans, pico de gallo, some cheese, and their cilantro lime sauce is out of this world, I could bathe in it!! Here you are able to get an incredibly flavorful latin meal at a steal! Their portions are huge, best bang for youe buck! It’s the “Chipotle” on campus!
