Before I moved away from Gainesville I used to come here nearly every week. Came back for lunch during a visit and I'm happy to report that Linda Vista is just as good as it always was! Incredible food for a low price, attentive wait staff, and a fun atmosphere. Best cheese dip anywhere, period. Great lunch specials, and basically anything I've tried I've liked. Can't recommend this place enough!
Linda Vista is a staple in my boyfriend and I's dinner rotation. It's always friendly, quick service no matter how busy they are! We sat immediately and had food within 20 mins. I got chicken palapa ($13.75- grilled chicken with onions, green peppers, mushrooms, cheese, rice, and beans). My boyfriend got hawaiin fajitas ($22.75- Steak, shrimp, pineapple, peppers, onions, toppings on the side, rice, and beans) and a Dos Equis especial ($6.25). Everything tasted amazing, and came with free chips and salsa. This is a safe bet for good Mexican!

Vegetarian options: A good selection of vegetarian offerings. Most of them could also be made vegan, but I opted for the one menu item that was already vegan without any tweaking- the vegetarian burrito. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious.Dietary restrictions: I'm vegan and my mother and son are both allergic to dairy. They easily modified their food to accommodate us by leaving off the cheese and sour cream on some dishes. It was nice, and refreshing, to see a restaurant have a dedicated section on their menu for vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: My 1 year old loved all of the art and beautiful chairs. He was content to sit in one of their highchairs and watch everything and one around us. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They made sure his order from the kids menu was not too hot and brought us extra napkins.
Food was great, they had a good share of vegan/vegetarian options and we both enjoyed the meal. Our waiter was on point and friendly/kind, overall atmosphere was awesome - it's a beautiful restaurant. Price was also great. We will be back!

Found this place through a quick Google search and it exceeded all expectations! Nicely decorated, fast and friendly service, fair prices and most importantly delicious hot food served quick. We ordered nachos supreme, enchiladas and churos with ice cream - yum!
