I feel like such a fool for waiting so long to try this place out! Wow! I am so excited that I can add this to my list of Gainesville food gems. We tried the quarter chicken, steak, white rice, yellow rice, corn, and tortillas and everything was incredible. For me, this is the best quick & healthy food option I have found so far in Gainesville. So clean, friendly staff, cutesy outdoor seating. Loveeeeee

We did a pickup order of the Chimichurri and Carne Asada bowl and both were DELICIOUS! There was so much in each bowl that we had leftovers for later.
The staff was very friendly- great friendly vibe!

I got a quarter chicken and three ribs combo, The chicken was phenomenal, I might have swapped my dark chicken for my grandmother's white chicken. Ribs were just okay though, cooked well but the barbecue sauce was really sweet. Fruit juice was also good, had the passion fruit juice.

Food is cooked well.
Not the issue.

The issue is they are using their protien options for multiple dishes that are totally different.
My Chaufa had shredded chicken.
Chaufa is a dish that utilizes high heat cooking, on a wok.
Flavours should be caramelized, seared at high heat.
Nothing in my chaufa tasted like chaufa.

This is some sort of fusion type food

Worst chaufa i have ever had.
But not the worst rice.

This past weekend, I visited Los Pollos in Gainesville Florida to order take away for me and wife. I paid with credit card. The credit card machine did not appear to be working so the person behind counter ran it from her side -- mentioning that they were having trouble with the card reader. Later -- I received auto email from VISA showing 2 separate charges for same food purchase. I called Los Pollos -- manager was not there -- so person answering phone took down my name and number and said manager would call me back. After a few days -- I called Los Pollos again - again no manager was on site -- and when I explained my situation -- the person said they could not give me a refund -- and she hung up on me while I was talking. This is a terrible way to run a business. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.
