After walking a short distance and coming back to get coffees and have a meal at McDonalds I noticed there was a boot on my vehicle tire. So I walked inside after talking with the tow truck service man and paying the fee and noticed 7 more vehicles with boots on the tire. I explained to the manager I only left for an walk and came right back to order coffees. She was very rude and cut me off in the first sentence of my explanation and said very rude things under her breath while rolling her eyes and walking away. I was very polite and asked the manager why there was a boot on my tire if I only walked across the street and came right back to buy coffees. She said if you leave the property we call tow services immediately. I then said It’s downtown Gainesville people can’t park walk a short distance and come back even if they’re purchasing something? You get to inconvenience someone and ruin their day because they left their vehicle for 10 mins in their parking lot and came right back to buy coffees? I’ve never in my life heard of a McDonalds putting boots on peoples cars anywhere. I counted a total of 7 boots in cars this morning. Only In Gainesville Florida at university avenue have I ever encountered such poor attitudes towards customers as well. There’s this automatic bad vibe bad attitude look on the employees face as soon as you walk in if you’re not part of the little clique they have going on. These employees need to be retrained or fired.

I’ve been here a few times and always have some sort of issue. First, I ordered a breakfast sandwich and they gave me an old hamburger patty instead of sausage. It was honestly disgusting. Another time, we tried to order in person because we only had cash and the woman who took our order was overly rude and dismissive (we were literally just buying fries). This last time, it was busy and yet every worker practically refused to speak with anyone. We waited over 30+ minutes for one milkshake.

Today I ordered a regular mcchicken on the app. I did not request for it to have no mayo or lettuce. There was another order number on it, that was not mine. They literally gave me someone else's order then insited that I rung up a plain mcchicken. Additionally, they always seem to be out of shakes. Absolutely trash store.

Literally the WORST McDonalds to go to. Staff is always rude and unprofessional , your order will be messed up or cold or nasty almost every time and they just don’t really care to fix problems especially with deals and rewards points, always mobile order if you use your rewards points because half the time they will not go through for this location and they do not care to fix it! Literally had to get in contact with corporate to get my rewards points back after they refused to give me the French fry I used my points for and were unapologetic and didn’t offer any solutions, I’m not one to leave bad reviews or hate on people in food service but it’s literally god awful, their only positive side is being cheap.

Skip this McDonalds unless you want to be degraded by the staff and served cold food you ordered through the app. If I could rate this Negative stars I would. No one expects much from McDonalds anyway but this place cannot reach the bar of expectations if it’s laying on the ground. Chances are if you’re reading the reviews of this place it’s because you also made the mistake of coming to this incompetent, ignorantly ran franchise.

I’m waiting on a call from the franchise owner. if they don’t get it together McDonalds would be wise to pull this franchise.

Update: still waiting on the owner/operator to respond after 3 weeks. Owner/Operator obviously condones and enables the behavior of the employees

I just wanted to say in all fairness that after the last time I was here and gave a very bad review for how badly I was treated. The same young lady helped me this evening and gave me exactly what I asked for exactly the way that I asked it and was very respectful about it. I appreciate the change in attitude and I actually look forward to coming back now. Thank you. That's all I wanted.

As far as McDonalds locations go, this one is about standard. Sometimes it's good, sometimes... it's not. The wait times can be pretty long at times, sometimes insanely long. The service is usually professional, although in my experiences, ordering while inside is almost always at the kiosk and never face-to-face. I guess it's simpler that way but it's nice to have social interaction. Either way, the food ends up tasting just fine.

I have never experienced such horrible service in my life. I know these people get paid barely anything but the way I was treated tonight was beyond unacceptable.

I ordered 2 double cheeseburgers and then drove to the window to pay. When I did the lady said “2 cheeseburgers” and I said yes and paid. When she went to hand me a coke I said I didn’t order one and she told me a paid for the wrong order. I said I’m really sorry I must’ve heard wrong and apologized more. She then proceeded to make it a huge deal by telling me I have to listen better and degrading me in-front of her coworkers. She then told me she had to get her manager which took forever meanwhile all the other workers are just standing around staring at me because it’s not even busy. I was expecting the manager to be more professional but that was not the case at all. When she got to the window the first thing she said is something along the lines of you have to start listening better. I apologized again and told her my hearings not the best and I’m really sorry. She kept telling me of how much an inconvenience this is. She didn’t even seem to know how to refund an order.

When I finally got my food the fries were COLD. Not room temperature. They were old and cold. The other food was alright.

I work in food service so I know that dealing with other people’s mistakes isn’t always ideal but it’s part of the job. You deal with it by saying no problem and fixing, not by degrading the customer. I was nothing but polite and apologetic.
